🧠 Is it a Hemorrhagic or Ischemic stroke? Knowing the difference can save a life.
A stroke happens in an instant, but understanding the two main types helps us recognize the danger signs faster.
🔴 Hemorrhagic Stroke (Bleeding)
What happens: A blood vessel in the brain ruptures and bleeds.
Common Causes: High blood pressure, aneurysms, head injuries, or AVM.
Key Symptoms: Sudden severe headache, nausea/vomiting, weakness, vision issues, or loss of consciousness.
🔵 Ischemic Stroke (Blockage)
What happens: A blood clot blocks blood flow to the brain.
Common Causes: Atherosclerosis (narrowed arteries), high blood pressure, diabetes, smoking, and high cholesterol.
Key Symptoms: Sudden weakness/numbness, trouble speaking, vision problems, dizziness, or severe headache.
⏱️ When it comes to a stroke, TIME IS BRAIN. Every second counts. If you suspect someone is having a stroke, remember to BE FAST
