When your smile suddenly becomes uneven, don’t ignore it. 🚨

Facial palsy can affect your smile, eye closure, speech, and everyday facial movements. But a sudden facial droop can also be a sign of stroke, so the first step is always proper medical assessment.

Once the cause is identified, early, appropriate rehabilitation can play an important role in recovery. 🤍

Your smile may look different today—but recovery is a journey, not a moment. ✨

Don’t self-diagnose. Get assessed. Start early.

A day in the life of a physiotherapist… but not JUST a physiotherapist. 🩺🤍

Patients.
Clinic work.
Exercise prescriptions.
Calls & paperwork.
Motherhood.
Family time.
A little outing.
A LOT of multitasking. 😂

Some days are productive.
Some days are chaotic.
Some days I feel like I’ve done everything.
And some days… I wonder what I actually got done. 🫣

But somewhere between treating patients and being there for my family, I’m learning that a fulfilling life doesn’t have to fit into one role.

This is my everyday — imperfect, busy, exhausting, beautiful. ✨

Follow along for more of the real life behind the physio.

WHAT IS HAPPENING INSIDE? | LUMBAR PIVD 🦴

That “slipped disc” you’ve heard about…
What is actually happening inside your spine? 👀

We’re breaking down Lumbar PIVD (disc herniation) visually and anatomically — what happens to the disc, how it can affect a nerve, and why it may cause pain, tingling, numbness or weakness into the leg.

Because knowing where the problem is is just the beginning.
Understanding why it’s happening helps us treat it better. 💙

👇 COMMENT “PIVD” if you want us to explain the next part — including what physiotherapy can do for it.

🦴 Shoulder pain? Let’s understand what’s actually happening.

Your shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body. That incredible mobility also means it relies heavily on the rotator cuff, labrum, ligaments, joint capsule and surrounding muscles for stability.

So, what can lead to shoulder injury or pain? 👇

🏋️ Overuse & repetitive movements
🤕 Falls or direct trauma
💻 Poor posture & movement patterns
💪 Muscle weakness or imbalance
⚡ Sudden increase in activity or training load
⏳ Age-related changes
🛏️ Awkward sleeping positions

For students: understanding shoulder anatomy, biomechanics and load management is essential for accurate assessment and rehabilitation.

For patients: shoulder pain doesn’t always mean that something is seriously “damaged.” The right assessment helps identify whether the problem is related to load, movement, strength, mobility or a specific tissue injury.

✨ Don’t just treat the pain. Understand the cause.

📍 Experiencing shoulder pain or difficulty with shoulder movement?
Don’t ignore it or keep pushing through the pain.

👉 Book an assessment at Plexus Physiotherapy Center and let us help you understand the cause and work towards better movement and strength.

Do you have a disc bulge? 👀

Here are 5 important facts you should know before you panic:

1️⃣ A disc bulge doesn’t always mean pain.
Many people have disc changes on an MRI without experiencing any symptoms.

2️⃣ MRI findings ≠ your symptoms.
A “disc bulge” on a report doesn’t automatically tell us what is causing your pain.

3️⃣ You don’t always need surgery.
Most disc-related problems can initially be managed with appropriate physiotherapy, exercise and activity modification.

4️⃣ Movement is usually part of recovery.
Complete bed rest can actually make you weaker and more fearful of movement. The right exercises depend on your symptoms.

5️⃣ Your symptoms matter more than the scan.
Pain, numbness, weakness, reflex changes and functional limitations need to be assessed clinically—not just read from an MRI report.

✨ So, if your MRI says “disc bulge,” don’t panic. Understand what it actually means for YOU.

What does a physio actually do all day? 👀

Treat pain? Yes.
Exercise patients? Of course.
But also…
🗣️ Explain the same exercise 7 different ways
👐 Give hands-on therapy
🏋️ Correct form 100 times
📋 Assess, reassess & document
😂 Listen to life stories in between sets
☕ And somehow survive on one cup of chai!

Because being a physiotherapist is not just about treating a body…
it’s about helping people move, recover, understand their body & get back to living. ❤️‍🩹

A day in the life of a physio — never boring, always moving! 😄
