Systonic
The Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for operating the Systonic S-935 Microprocessor Flame Photometer involves setup, calibration, sample testing, and shutdown.
1. Pre-Check and Setup
• Connect the Systonic S-935 to a stable power supply of 230 VAC, 50 Hz.
• Attach the clean, dry oil-free air compressor and the LPG gas supply line to the rear inlets.
• Ensure the appropriate filters (Sodium and Potassium are standard; Calcium and Barium are optional) are properly placed.
2. Ignition and Stabilization
• Turn on the air compressor and adjust the air pressure to the recommended operating level.
• Turn on the LPG gas supply and adjust the gas control k**b slightly.
• Power on the instrument using the main switch. Use the auto-ignition system to light the flame.
• Allow the instrument to stabilize with distilled water aspirating through the atomizer for 10 to 15 minutes.
3. Calibration
• Access the calibration menu on the graphical LCD screen.
• Perform a blank adjustment by aspirating distilled water to set the zero reading.
• Calibrate the instrument using up to 5 standard solutions (e.g., standard concentrations of Na and K) via the built-in curve fitting software.
4. Sample Measurement
• Aspirate your prepared liquid test samples one by one through the axial flow atomizer.
• Read and record the stable concentration values (in ppm or meq) directly from the backlit graphical LCD.
• Aspirate distilled water between samples to clean the nebulizer and prevent cross-contamination or clogging.
5. Shutdown Procedure
• Aspirate distilled water for at least 5 minutes after finishing all measurements to clear any salt residues.
• Turn off the LPG gas valve first to extinguish the flame safely.
• Turn off the air compressor and switch off the main power to the unit.
