🌳✨ From a Tender Sapling to a Blossoming Legacy ✨🌳

In the gentle embrace of nature and inspired by the visionary “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” movement initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, a sapling was lovingly planted on 17th September 2024 at the Manipal Hospital Goa campus by Hon’ble Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant Ji.

Today, that once-fragile sapling stands adorned with blossoms, swaying gracefully in the breeze—a living symbol of hope, gratitude, and the enduring bond between humanity and Mother Earth. Each leaf unfurled and every flower in bloom tells a silent story of patience, care, and unwavering commitment.

Over the months, we have nurtured this young tree with dedication and affection, watching it flourish as a reminder that even the smallest act of environmental stewardship can blossom into something beautiful and lasting. Its growth mirrors our shared aspiration for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future.

At Manipal Hospital Goa, our verdant campus is more than a landscape—it is a testament to our belief that healing extends beyond hospital walls and into the environment that sustains us all. This blossoming tree stands as a vibrant tribute to a national call for ecological responsibility and a heartfelt expression of gratitude to the mothers who nurture life, just as nature nurtures us.

🌳✨ World Environment Day at Manipal Hospital Goa ✨🌳

What began as a humble sapling in 2017 has today blossomed into a magnificent mango tree, standing tall as a living testament to growth, resilience, and our enduring commitment to nature. Even more special is the presence of five dedicated staff members who were part of its planting journey nearly a decade ago and are captured once again beside it today—a beautiful reminder that both people and trees flourish when nurtured with care.

Over the years, the campus of Manipal Hospital Goa has transformed into a thriving green sanctuary through sustained plantation drives and the loving stewardship of countless trees. This World Environment Day, we celebrate not only the flourishing canopy of a single tree but also the collective spirit that continues to cultivate a healthier, greener, and more sustainable future.

A shining example of academic excellence and unwavering dedication, Dr. Amey Damodar Walke achieved the remarkable distinction of securing All India Rank 3 in the NEET MDS examination, placing him among the most accomplished dental graduates in the nation and earning the distinction of being one of the highest-ranked candidates from Goa in NEET MDS history. This extraordinary achievement stands as a testament to his intellectual brilliance, disciplined work ethic, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to the field of dentistry.

A graduate of Goa Dental College and Hospital, Dr. Walke successfully completed his BDS degree, internship, and compulsory government bond service with distinction. During this period, he gained invaluable clinical experience, strengthening both his professional competence and his commitment to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care!

Today, Dr. Walke has joined the esteemed family healthcare institution, Dr. Walke’s Diagnostic Centre & Polyclinic, where he works alongside his father, Dr. Damodar Kamalakar Walke, a highly respected Dental Surgeon and the visionary founder of the organization. Through its well-established centers in Bicholim and Mapusa, the institution has become synonymous with trust, quality healthcare, and dedicated service to the community. Carrying forward this proud legacy, Dr. Amey combines youthful dynamism with clinical excellence in serving patients and advancing the standards of dental care.

Manipal Hospital Felicitated During *First Goa Statehood Day Celebrations 2022*

On the occasion of the 35th Goa Statehood Day Goa Government led by Dr Pramod Sawant decided to have an official celebrations which was held at Raj Bhavan, Dona Paula, on 30 th May 2022.

Manipal Hospital, Goa, was felicitated by the Government of Goa for its outstanding contribution to the healthcare sector and its dedicated service to the people of Goa.

The prestigious recognition was awarded in appreciation of the hospital’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare, advanced medical services, and compassionate patient care. Over the years, Manipal Hospital has played a significant role in strengthening Goa’s healthcare infrastructure and improving access to specialized medical treatment for the citizens of the state.

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished dignitaries, including His Excellency Governor Shri P. S. Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant, and Union Minister of state Shri Shripad Naik , Speaker of Goa Assembly Shri Ramesh Tawadkar along with members of the Goa Cabinet, senior government officials, and prominent personalities from various sectors. 

During the event, Manipal Hospital, Goa, was recognized as a leading healthcare institution for its remarkable contribution to public health, medical excellence, and social welfare. The award was received on behalf of the hospital by Mr. Surendra Prasad, Hospital Director, Manipal Hospitals, Goa and senior consultant in oncosurgery Dr Shekhar Salkar who expressed gratitude for the honor and reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing world-class healthcare services to the people of Goa.

Attended the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme as Shakti Pramukh for Booth No. 19/20 with shri Ramanand Natekar , shri Nissar bhai ex Councilor BMC of Bicholim Constituency, along with around 12 local karyakartas and residents at the residence of Mr. Arman Bhai.We all listened to the inspiring address of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who spoke about the achievements of India’s youth, the growing strength of Indian sports, social initiatives making a positive impact at the grassroots level, environmental awareness, and the importance of collective efforts in nation-building. He highlighted inspiring stories from across the country and encouraged citizens to continue contributing towards a stronger and self-reliant India. After the programme, I had an interactive discussion with the attendees regarding the difficulties and issues faced by the local community specially partiality in cricket selection ! Various concerns and suggestions were shared, and we discussed possible ways to address them through collective efforts and by connecting them with the concerned authorities.A special thanks to Mr. Arman Bhai and his better half for their warm hospitality and the delicious refreshments served during the gathering. Their support and arrangements contributed greatly to the success of the programme.
