NIO Eyes+ NIO Eyes+ is a super specialty eye hospital in Pune dedicated to providing high-quality eye care through advanced care across multiple ophthalmic departments.

The National Institute of Ophthalmology (NIO) is one of the most prestigious and trusted super specialty eye hospitals in Pune. It has two state-of-the-art facilities located in Shivaji Nagar and Aundh (launched in 2016), with a combined capacity of 26 beds. The hospital provides specialized care across a variety of ophthalmic departments. NIO is led by the erstwhile Medical Director Dr. Aditya Kelkar, with a dedicated team of 130+ highly trained personnel. Cataract doesn’t always begin with blurry vision.

Some of the earliest changes can be subtle like increased glare while driving at night, frequent changes in your glasses prescription, difficulty seeing in dim light, colours appearing less vibrant, or gradually cloudy vision.

These signs can be easy to overlook or simply attributed to changing eyesight. But if you’re noticing these changes, especially after 40, it’s worth getting your eyes examined.

Your child sitting too close to the TV may not be the problem you think it is.

Sitting close to the TV does not damage your child’s eyes or directly cause vision problems. But if your child consistently sits very close to see the screen, it could be a sign that they’re having difficulty seeing clearly at a distance.

Instead of asking them to move back every time, consider getting their vision checked.

And while screen distance may not be the concern, prolonged screen time and too little outdoor activity are important aspects of children’s eye health.
