🚨 OTP Theft Isn’t Magic. It’s Social Engineering.

Cybercriminals use fake calls, phishing messages, malicious links, impersonation and social engineering to trick people into revealing verification codes.

🔐 Remember these golden rules:

✅ Never share your OTP with anyone, not even someone claiming to be from your bank, the police, customer care or a company.
✅ If someone calls saying, “An unauthorized transaction has happened. Tell me the OTP to stop it,” hang up immediately.
✅ Never click on suspicious links asking you to “verify” your account.
✅ Wherever possible, consider using an authenticator app instead of SMS-based OTPs.
✅ Remember: an OTP is a key to your account. Treat it like a password.
