🌸 UTTAR BASTI & INFERTILITY — WHY IS IT IMPORTANT? 🌸
✨ Infertility is not always just about ovulation.
In Ayurveda, successful conception is understood through the health of Beeja (ovum/s***m), Kshetra (reproductive tract/uterus), Ambu (nourishment) and Ritu (fertile time). 🌿
Uttar Basti is a specialised Ayurvedic local therapy traditionally described for disorders of the female reproductive and urinary system.
🌿 HOW CAN IT BE RELEVANT IN INFERTILITY CARE?
Uttar Basti may be considered, after individual assessment, when infertility is associated with selected reproductive-tract factors.
✨ It is traditionally used with the aim of:
• Supporting the health of the Kshetra (uterine/reproductive environment)
• Addressing selected uterine and cervical disorders
• Supporting healthy menstrual and reproductive function
• Managing certain conditions that may contribute to difficulty in conception
• Providing a local therapeutic approach as part of a broader Ayurvedic treatment plan
💫 BUT REMEMBER — UTTAR BASTI IS NOT A “MAGIC PROCEDURE” FOR INFERTILITY.
Every couple has a different cause of infertility. Ovulation, ovarian reserve, fallopian tube patency, uterine health, endometriosis/adenomyosis, s***m parameters, age and other factors need to be evaluated appropriately.
Therefore, Uttar Basti should be planned only when clinically indicated, rather than being given routinely to every infertility patient.
