This month, we hold space for grandparent loss, and the stories, memories and love that continue to stay with us.

"Those we love don’t go away,
they walk beside us every day.
Unseen, unheard but always near,
still loved, still missed
and held so dear."
- Alex MacLean

Many of us may have experienced the love of a grandparent or might have grown up hearing stories about them from our family. This would include sharing stories of our lived experiences with them or their stories passed on to us by others. Whatever may be our experience, if you feel called to share, listen, or simply be held in a gentle space, do join us. 🌱

What does taking care of yourself really look like?

Sometimes, it is simply learning to pause and notice what is here. To stay with ourselves through the different kinds of weather that move within us, and to find small places of support along the way.

In this post, Harini Raval , our lead facilitator, shares a glimpse of what this practice has come to look like for her.

Taking Care of Yourself is an 8-week journey into mindfulness, self-compassion and the practice of being with yourself differently.

Starting 6 September
Every Sunday | 11 AM – 1 PM
Online, with practice resources between sessions

Our Research & Content Intern will get to move between two worlds. Some days will be spent reading, listening, organising qualitative research and exploring questions around presence, mindfulness, people and organisations. Other days will be about writing, creating, brainstorming and finding ways to bring our ideas and research to life through content.

But more than anything, you’ll be part of the team. You’ll join conversations, contribute your ideas, learn by being close to the work.

We are looking for someone interested in creative communication, psychology, mindfulness, research, organisations, and the many questions that connect them.

What matters most to us is curiosity, care, and a willingness to learn.

📩 Send us your CV and a short note about yourself and why you’d like to work with us at [email protected]

Those who have experienced the Presence Oriented Psychotherapy training speak of coming home to themselves, learning to slow down and be with what is here, and discovering that the depth with which we meet another begins with the depth with which we have met ourselves.

The training explores experientially three vital ingredients of therapy:

The Therapist’s Presence: The quality of Embodied Presence of the therapist
The Relational Space: The quality of Compassionate Attuned Presence in the therapeutic alliance
The Client’s Self in Presence: The quality of inner listening that stimulates the Client’s Self in Presence.

Two-years | Part-time| Hybrid (Online/ In-person)

Sending out this invitation, in the hope that those who need to find this course, do.

To slow down. To listen. To accompany.

That’s where our first module for the new cohort of the Mindfulness-Based Counseling: Listening with Embodied Presence program landed.

And so begins a new journey for 33 participants this year.

What feels especially heartening is to have our past students come back to assist on the program. This year we have 12 assistants supporting the cohort, bringing a 1:3 support ratio as the participants journey through the course. It offers a valuable holding.

And, as usually happens in our cohorts, the beginning of a community gets shaped. A space of shared humanity.

Each cohort’s journey is also a gift to us, as teachers and facilitators. Each time we meet for a teaching module, we are given three days to rediscover the beauty and simplicity of this work and witness its unfolding. The space co-created touches each person exactly as it is needed at this point.

That is the power of teaching and learning this work. It is fresh each time.

Looking forward to our two-year program in Presence-Oriented Psychotherapy also beginning this month.

And so, here begins another year of teaching and learning. Another journey in accompanying and looking anew at Embodied Presence, Mindfulness and Deep Listening.

We may have heard that feeling our emotions is important.

The real question is, how do we practice it?

Taking Care of Yourself is an 8 week online journey in mindfulness, awareness and self compassion. Through guided practice, reflection and community, we learn to meet ourselves and the full range of our emotions with greater kindness, curiosity and presence.

Over eight weeks, we'll explore:

• The power of simply noticing and acknowledging our experience
• Listening to the wisdom of the body and our emotions
• Turning towards ourselves with kindness and self compassion
• Finding inner resources to support everyday life
• Learning to be with difficult emotions without becoming overwhelmed
• Stepping back from unhelpful thought patterns
• Receiving moments of joy, appreciation and connection more fully
• Returning to ourselves, again and again, with awareness and compassion

Each week offers space to practice, reflect and bring the practice into everyday life.

Facilitator: Dr. Harini Raval
Psychotherapist, Mindfulness and Presence teacher, mother, wife and daughter.

The video featured here is from the YogEQ podcast with our Founder-Director, Sandy Dias Andrade, where she speaks about being with our emotions.

Our Community Mindfulness Practice Circles continue every Saturday, offering a steady space to pause, and deepen our practice together.

Throughout August, we will be exploring *Heart-Based Practices*, inviting us to cultivate kindness, compassion, and a deeper connection with ourselves and others.

These practices help us meet our experience with greater openness and care, allowing the heart to become a steady source of presence in everyday life.

These circles are a gift offering and require a one-time sign up.

*Join us here (link in our bio): https://zfrmz.in/wjwJPb49FSNVqJ6qHdg9*

Or just comment 'Saturday' and we will send you the details.

Please feel free to share this invitation with anyone who may be interested in practicing in community.
