Breast reduction can be life-changing for women who struggle with heavy breasts causing constant neck pain, upper back pain, shoulder pain, bra-strap grooves, difficulty exercising or simply discomfort during everyday activities.

Does the tummy tuck procedure remove your stretch marks?

A lot of my tummy tuck patients are pleasantly surprised when I tell them this — some of your stretch marks may actually go away with the loose skin we remove.

If the stretch marks are on the skin that’s being removed during your tummy tuck, they’ll be removed along with it. But stretch marks around the waist or sides usually stay because that skin isn’t being removed.

And that’s okay. Once you’ve healed properly, we can work on the remaining stretch marks separately with treatments like RF microneedling to make them much less noticeable.

So yes, a tummy tuck can remove some stretch marks, just not necessarily all of them.

Vaginoplasty is a surgery that tightens the vaginal muscles and tissues when they’ve become stretched or loose, commonly after childbirth.

Some women notice this as a feeling of looseness, air getting trapped and making sounds, or simply that things feel different down there after delivery.

I usually recommend starting with pelvic floor exercises or physiotherapy when appropriate. But when there’s significant laxity, vaginoplasty can help by tightening the stretched muscles and removing excess loose tissue.

It’s a very personal concern, but definitely not something you need to feel awkward talking about.

Diastasis recti is something I see quite often in women after pregnancy. And many tell me the same thing — “I’ve lost the weight, I’m exercising, but my tummy still looks like this.”

Sometimes, it’s not about fat at all. The abdominal muscles have separated during pregnancy and haven’t completely come back together.

The treatment usually starts with physiotherapy and core strengthening. But if the separation is significant, especially with loose skin, a tummy tuck or abdominoplasty can repair the abdominal wall and remove the excess skin at the same time.

The right treatment really depends on your body, so get yourself assessed by a qualified plastic surgeon first.

Can you actually lift sagging breasts without surgery?

A push-up bra can definitely make them look more lifted in clothes 😄

And exercise can help strengthen the chest muscles underneath, which may improve the overall appearance a little.

But if there’s loose skin and the breast tissue itself has dropped, creams, massages, machines or workouts unfortunately can’t physically move it back up.

That’s where a breast lift, or mastopexy, comes in. The idea is to remove the extra skin and reposition the breast higher on the chest.

Of course, not everyone with sagging breasts needs surgery — it really depends on how much sagging there is and what result you’re looking for.

Do you have to be a mom to get a Mommy Makeover? 🤔

Nope! Despite the name, motherhood is definitely not an eligibility criteria. 😄

A Mommy Makeover is essentially a combination of cosmetic procedures planned together.

Depending on what you want to address, this could include a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty), breast lift, breast augmentation or breast reduction, vaginoplasty, along with liposuction of areas like the waist, abdomen or back.

If you’re constantly dealing with rubbing, irritation or discomfort down there, you don’t necessarily have to just live with it.
