UHTC, Kondhwa under Dept. of Community Medicine organized an eye donation awareness event on 1st September 2026, on occasion of National Eye Donation Fortnight (28 August to 8 September 2026). The program featured an educational health talk and an impactful short skit designed to dispel public myths and encourage community members to pledge their eyes. Total 20 beneficiaries in this activity. The event featured an educational health talk that trained community members in critical, life-saving first-aid techniques for burns, severe bleeding, seizures, poisoning, snake bites, fractures, and choking. The performance highlighted breastfeeding benefits, debunked common myths, and demonstrated correct latching and positioning techniques to ensure effective milk transfer and prevent maternal injury. Total 20 beneficiaries in this activity. Health Talk was given by doctors to create awareness about eye donation and to motivate people to pledge their eyes. Doctors also explained that eye donation should be within 6 hours after death. RHTC, Kusgaon under Department of Community Medicine conducted “World Breastfeeding Week” on 18th August 2026. A Drama was performed for “World Breast Feeding Week” by doctors on benefits of Breastfeeding which provides complete & natural nutrition, support brain development, strengthens the immune system, lower risk of long term health problems & easier to digest and absorb. They also discussed on The World Breastfeeding Week-2026 theme is “Priorities Breastfeeding: Create Sustainable support Systems” which highlights the need to establish robust and long term support system for breastfeeding mothers and emphasizes the environmental benefits of breastfeeding. BLS Workshop Successfully Conducted for Sinhgad Dental College students on 17 August 2026
Basic Life Support (BLS) workshop was successfully conducted today, 17 August 2026, at SKNMC Medical College Narhe, Pune for the students of Sinhagad Dental College by the Departments of Medicine and Anaesthesia, of SKNMC.
The session was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Ingole, HOD, Department of Medicine ; and Dr. Swapnaja Shelke, Faculty, Department of Medicine; and Dr. Sameer Kulkarni, Professor Department of Anaesthesia. Residents from these two departments were actively involved for coordination and conduction of the session.
