AyuGen-ACTREC Collaboration: From Early Detection to Cancer Prevention

Our screening programmes in Latur and Dharashiv identified high risk women who needed further treatment. We are especially grateful to Dr. Kavita Anand, Dr. Geetanjali Amin and Dr. Gauravi Mishra, Dy. Director, CCE, ACTREC (the research & treatment wing of Tata Memorial Centre). Their contribution in treating HPV positive women in rural area of Latur went far beyond clinical interventions. They agreed to travel all the way from Mumbai to rural Latur to personally support and provide treatment to these women - a remarkable commitment to taking specialist cancer prevention services closer to underserved communities.

This initiative also reflects the strength of the collaboration between AyuGen and ACTREC - bringing together community-based screening, specialist expertise, timely follow-up and treatment to create a meaningful continuum of cervical cancer prevention.

A special thanks to Dr. Anjali Ugile for making her facility available, enabling the women to receive treatment closer to their homes.

Our sincere thanks also to the DHO Latur, THOs, and the many ASHA workers whose ground-level support was critical in identifying, counselling, mobilising and supporting the women throughout the programme.

From awareness to screening. From screening to action. From action to prevention.

This is the vision with which AyuGen began - making preventive healthcare accessible, actionable and closer to the communities that need it most.
With support from the Aarogya initiative of Mahanagar Gas Ltd., and -with Science & Technology Park, Pune as the implementation partner, AyuGen facilitated timely treatment for HPV-positive women from rural Latur after screening for over 750 women.
The women were treated close to their homes and villages, helping overcome one of the biggest barriers in rural healthcare - access to timely follow-up and treatment.
Finally, a very special and heartfelt thanks to Mahanagar Gas Ltd. for believing in this vision of cervical cancer prevention and supporting this journey over the last few years. Their continued commitment through the Aarogya has helped us move prevention beyond awareness and bring timely care closer to women who need it most.

Every Step Forward Counts

On 31st July 2026, AyuGen Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), conducted the MGL Arogya - Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening Programme at Primary Health Centre, Shiradhon, Dharashiv.

ASHA workers and PHC staff enthusiastically participated in the session on cervical cancer prevention, HPV awareness, and HPV Self-Sampling. Although on-site sample collection could not be carried, HPV Kits were distributed, enabling the ASHA workers to continue screening and awareness activities within their communities.

Preparing Communities for Prevention

On 30th July 2026, AyuGen Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), conducted the MGL Arogya - Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening Programme at Primary Health Centre, Katgaon, Dharashiv.

The programme brought together ASHA workers from Katgaon and nearby villages for an interactive session on cervical cancer prevention and HPV awareness. HPV kits were distributed, enabling the ASHA workers to take awareness beyond the programme and support women in their communities with HPV DNA screening.

One Day. Three Villages. One Mission.

On 29th July 2026, the MGL Arogya - Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening Programme, implemented by AyuGen Biosciences Pvt. Ltd. with the support of Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), reached three Primary Health Centres - Jalkot, Andur, and Mangrul in Dharashiv district.

Travelling across remote villages, our team trained nearly 100 ASHA workers, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to spread awareness about cervical cancer prevention and HPV Self-Sampling. By taking this message back to their communities, these frontline health workers will help many more women access timely screening and preventive care.

Every village reached today is another step towards a future where cervical cancer is detected early and prevented.

On 28th July 2026, AyuGen Biosciences Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), continued the MGL Arogya - Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening Programme at Primary Health Centre, Mangrul, Tal. Kallamb, Dharashiv.

The session brought together dedicated ASHA workers, who learned about cervical cancer prevention, HPV, and the importance of early screening through HPV Kits. Equipped with knowledge and awareness, they are now prepared to guide women in their villages towards timely screening and better health.

Inspiring Change, One ASHA Worker at a Time

On 9th July 2026, AyuGen Biosciences, in collaboration with Science and Technology Park (STP), Pune, and with the generous support of Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), successfully conducted the MGL Arogya Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening Programme at Shirur Tajband PHC, Latur.

The programme began with an engaging awareness session on HPV, cervical cancer prevention, early screening, followed by HPV Testing advantages and procedure. Around 70 ASHA workers actively participated in the training, demonstrating remarkable enthusiasm and a shared commitment to spreading awareness among women in their communities.

One Training. Hundreds of Changemakers. Thousands of Lives to Protect.
Every fight against cervical cancer begins with awareness-and awareness begins with the people who serve communities every single day.

On 7th July 2026, AyuGen Biosciences, in collaboration with Science and Technology Park (STP), Pune, successfully conducted the MGL Arogya Cervical Cancer Awareness & Screening Programme at Chakur, Latur supported by CSR initiative from Mahanagar Gas Ltd.

The programme brought together over 170 dedicated ASHA workers from the PHCs near Chakur Village in Latur District. They were trained on:
🔹 Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and its link to cervical cancer
🔹 The importance of early screening and timely prevention
🔹 The simple, safe, and privacy-friendly HPV Self-Sampling method
🔹 Their vital role in educating women within their communities
They pledged to spread awareness, encourage women to come forward for screening, and become ambassadors of preventive healthcare in their villages.
Because when one ASHA worker learns, an entire community benefits.
Together with Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) and Science and Technology Park, Pune, we are taking another meaningful step towards a future where no woman loses her life to a preventable cancer.
