Many time patients come with previous history of fracture surgery around knee joint.
The implants used for that surgery like nails / plate / screws are still there and now they have knee joint pain .
The xray shows that there is severe arthritic changes and deformity in the knee joint and now the only option for pain relief is knee replacement surgery .
But if we want to do knee replacement by conventional method in those patient ,they need two stage surgery - first to remove previous implants and second to go for knee replacement surgery .
