One day a 14 year old boy pt came to my clinic, he had circular patches of hairloss on scalp, he had taken a lot of medicines and treatments in the past, he had also used medicines like 'Menoxidil 'for a long time, but as a result he did not get any relief, rather the patient became a little dull and less enthusiastic.
(I am not against minoxidil) but its use should always be done keeping in mind the age and prakriti parikshan of pt ..
After taking proper history of this patient, keeping some of his 'hetu 'in mind, basic Ayurvedic treatment was given accordingly and along with 2 leech therapy was used..the resulting hair loss patches have reduced, new hair has started growing well..and the remaining patches will also reduce in the same way..
