Advanced incisionless surgery in urology utilizes the natural anatomical pathways of the urinary tract or non-invasive directed energy to treat conditions of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and prostate without cutaneous incisions. Endourological techniques like Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS) enable precise laser treatment of renal stones and upper tract tumors, while advanced transurethral procedures—such as Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP), Aquablation, and Rezum thermal therapy—offer highly effective management of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).

Recurrent UTI: The Clinical and SocioeconomicSignificance.
• Drives Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR): Repeated, empiric antibiotic use accelerates the emergence of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs), complicating long-term patient management.
• Severely Impacts Quality of Life: The chronic, unpredictable nature of rUTIs causes significant psychological distress, sleep disruption, and avoidance of intimacy.
• Risks Severe Complications: Frequent lower tract infections carry a higher statistical risk of ascending into acute pyelonephritis, causing renal scarring, or progressing to urosepsis in vulnerable patients.
• Acts as a Diagnostic Red Flag: Recurrences necessitate comprehensive evaluation (e.g., imaging, cystoscopy) to unmask hidden anatomical anomalies, urolithiasis, or voiding dysfunctions.
• Creates Substantial Economic Burden: Drives high direct healthcare costs through frequent diagnostics and clinic visits, alongside indirect costs from lost workplace productivity. -health

An arteriovenous (AV) fistula is a surgically created connection between an artery and a vein to provide durable access for dialysis treatment. Early specialist evaluation and ongoing monitoring can help maintain access function and support effective long-term kidney care. PreventiveCare

Retrograde Intrarenal Surgery (RIRS) is a highly effective, minimally invasive procedure used to treat kidney stones without making a single incision.
RIRS has become a gold standard for treating specific types of kidney stones, bridging the gap between non-invasive shockwave therapy and more invasive open surgeries.
• Zero Incisions: With no cuts to the skin or muscle, there is no external scarring and significantly lower blood loss.
• Rapid Recovery: Most patients are discharged within 24 hours of the surgery. Mild discomfort or a burning sensation during urination is normal for a few days, but patients generally resume light, everyday activities within 2 to 3 days.
• Ideal for Tricky Stones: It is highly successful for stones up to 2 cm in diameter, stones trapped in the lower sections of the kidney where other treatments fail, or for patients who have anatomical complexities or bleeding risks that rule out other surgeries.
