⚠️ Persistent L4-L5 slipped disc or spinal instability doesn't always mean a large surgery.
With Micro Endoscopic Assisted TLIF (Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion), many patients can benefit from a minimally invasive approach that aims to stabilize the spine while reducing muscle damage compared to traditional open surgery.*
✅ Smaller incision
✅ Less muscle disruption
✅ Better visualization with endoscopic assistance
✅ Potentially faster recovery in appropriately selected patients

If you've been struggling with:
✔️ Severe lower back pain
✔️ Leg pain (Sciatica)
✔️ Numbness or weakness
✔️ Difficulty walking or standing..it may be time to get your spine evaluated.
Every spine condition is unique. The right treatment starts with the right diagnosis.

⚠️ Severe Slip Disc Pain? Surgery Doesn't Always Mean a Big Cut or General Anesthesia.

Here's a look at an L5-S1 Micro Endoscopic Assisted Discectomy performed under Spinal Anesthesia (SA)—an advanced, minimally invasive procedure designed to relieve pressure on the affected nerve while preserving healthy tissues.

✅ Tiny incision
✅ Minimal muscle damage
✅ Less blood loss
✅ Faster recovery
✅ Early mobilization after surgery

Many patients suffering from slip disc (lumbar disc prolapse), sciatica, leg pain, numbness, or weakness often delay treatment because they fear traditional surgery. Modern endoscopic spine surgery offers a less invasive option for carefully selected patients.

Every case is unique, and the best treatment depends on a detailed clinical evaluation and MRI findings.

If persistent back pain or radiating leg pain is affecting your daily life, don't ignore the warning signs. Early diagnosis can prevent long-term nerve damage.

Consult Dr. Nirmal Patil for expert evaluation.

Still suffering from leg pain, numbness, or weakness because of a slipped disc? It may not always require a major spine surgery.

An L2-L3 Micro Endoscopic Assisted Discectomy is an advanced minimally invasive spine procedure designed to remove the slipped disc that's pressing on the nerve—through a tiny incision with greater precision.

✅ Smaller incision
✅ Less muscle damage
✅ Reduced blood loss
✅ Faster recovery
✅ Early return to daily activities

Many patients delay treatment because they fear "open spine surgery." But with modern endoscopic and microscopic techniques, the experience can be very different for the right candidate.

If you're experiencing:
🔹 Persistent lower back pain
🔹 Pain radiating to the thigh or leg
🔹 Numbness or tingling
🔹 Difficulty walking or standing
..it's time to get evaluated by a spine specialist.

Every spine is different. The right diagnosis leads to the right treatment—not every slipped disc needs the same approach.

When back pain starts affecting your ability to walk, it's no longer "just back pain."
A 70-year-old gentleman came to us after suffering for 2 months with:
✔ Severe low back pain
✔ Pain radiating to the right leg
✔ Tingling and numbness
✔ Weakness in the right leg (Power 3/5)
✔ Foot drop
✔ Difficulty standing and walking
Despite medications and outpatient treatment, his symptoms continued to worsen.
📌 MRI revealed Lumbar Canal Stenosis at L4-L5 and L5-S1, causing pressure on the nerves.
When nerve compression leads to weakness and foot drop, delaying treatment may increase the risk of long-term nerve damage.
🩺 The planned treatment:
✅ Micro-Endoscopic Assisted Decompression
✅ L4-L5 Minimally Invasive TLIF (MIS TLIF)
These advanced minimally invasive techniques aim to relieve nerve compression with smaller incisions, reduced tissue damage, and a smoother recovery compared with traditional open surgery in appropriate patients.
⚠️ If you have back pain along with leg weakness, numbness, or difficulty walking, don't ignore these warning signs. Early evaluation can make a significant difference.

Neck Pain Isn't Always "Just Neck Pain."

A 40-year-old woman came to us after months of severe neck pain that spread to both arms.

She also experienced:
✅ Tingling and numbness in both hands
✅ Weak hand grip
✅ Weakness in both upper limbs
✅ Painful neck movements
✅ Generalized weakness

Despite medications and physiotherapy, her symptoms continued to worsen.

After a detailed clinical evaluation and imaging, she was diagnosed with:

C5-C6 Cervical Canal Stenosis causing Bilateral Cervical Radiculopathy.

When nerves in the neck are compressed, delaying treatment can increase the risk of persistent weakness and reduced function.

Treatment Plan

✔ Endoscopic Assisted Anterior Cervical Discectomy with Fusion (ACDF)

This minimally invasive approach aims to:
• Relieve nerve compression
• Reduce pain
• Improve strength
• Restore daily function

Early diagnosis can make a significant difference.

If neck pain is accompanied by arm pain, numbness, or weakness, don't ignore it.

When a Neck Problem Takes Away the Ability to Walk…

A 76-year-old woman came to us after 5 years of worsening symptoms, which became much more severe over the last 7–8 months.

She experienced:
✔ Severe neck pain radiating to both arms
✔ Weakness in both hands with poor grip
✔ Severe low back pain
✔ Progressive weakness in both legs
✔ Tingling and burning sensations
✔ Unable to stand, walk, or even sit on the floor
✔ Completely bedridden despite multiple treatments and physiotherapy

After detailed evaluation and MRI, the diagnosis revealed a serious condition:

Cervical Myelopathy due to Cervical Canal Stenosis (C3–C4) with Tandem Lumbar Canal Stenosis (L4–L5).

When the spinal cord is compressed, delaying treatment may lead to permanent neurological damage.

After thorough planning, she underwent:

✅ Endoscopic-Assisted Posterior Cervical Decompression
✅ C3–C4 & C4–C5 ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion)

Early diagnosis and timely treatment can help prevent further neurological deterioration and improve quality of life. Individual outcomes vary depending on the severity and duration of nerve compression.

Don't ignore these warning signs:
• Hand weakness
• Frequent falls
• Difficulty walking
• Persistent numbness
• Loss of balance
• Neck pain with arm symptoms

These symptoms deserve prompt evaluation by a spine specialist.

🚨 "She lived with back pain for 5 YEARS... until walking became difficult."

A 42-year-old woman came to us after suffering from severe low back pain following a domestic fall.

Over time, her symptoms became worse:

❌ Pain radiating to both legs

❌ Tingling & numbness (more on the left side)

❌ Leg weakness

❌ Difficulty standing

❌ Unable to sit on the floor

❌ Walking imbalance

❌ Claudication (pain while walking)

Despite medications and physiotherapy, her pain continued.

An MRI of the lumbar spine revealed L3-L4 and L4-L5 Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, causing pressure on the nerves.

After proper evaluation, she was admitted for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery, aiming to relieve nerve compression while minimizing tissue damage.

⚠️ If your back pain is associated with leg pain, numbness, weakness, or difficulty walking, don't ignore it. Early evaluation can prevent further nerve damage.

Back pain isn't always "just back pain."

If your back pain is associated with:

✅ Pain radiating into the leg
✅ Numbness or tingling
✅ Difficulty walking
✅ Weakness
✅ Symptoms lasting for months despite treatment

You may have a spinal condition such as Lumbar Canal Stenosis.

This patient had already tried:
✔️ Medicines
✔️ Pain management
✔️ Physiotherapy

Unfortunately, his symptoms persisted because the underlying issue was nerve compression at L4-L5.

After MRI evaluation, minimally invasive spine surgery was recommended.

Early diagnosis is important to reduce the risk of long-term nerve problems.

🚨 Unable to walk because of back pain? It may be more than "just a slipped disc."

A 43-year-old woman came to us with 5 years of severe low back pain, which had become much worse over the last 2 months.

She was experiencing:
✔️ Severe low back pain radiating to both legs (Right > Left)
✔️ Tingling and numbness in both legs
✔️ Weakness in both legs
✔️ Difficulty standing, sitting, and walking
✔️ Loss of balance while walking

Despite conservative treatment and medications, her symptoms continued to worsen.

After detailed clinical evaluation and imaging, she was diagnosed with:

Lumbar Canal Stenosis at L3-L4, L4-L5 & L5-S1 causing bilateral lumbar radiculopathy.

Because of progressive nerve compression and lower limb weakness, the planned treatment is:

✅ Endoscopic Lumbar Decompression

Spinal Fixation (L3-L4, L4-L5 & L5-S1)

Early diagnosis and timely treatment are important to prevent permanent nerve damage and improve mobility.

If you have persistent back pain with leg pain, numbness, weakness, or difficulty walking, don't ignore these warning signs. Consult a spine specialist early.

could barely stand, walk, or use his hands… today, he’s taking his first steps toward getting his life back. 🙌

A 45-year-old patient came to us with severe cervical myelopathy and spinal cord compression that was affecting nearly every aspect of his life.

⚠️ Constant neck pain radiating to both arms
⚠️ Progressive weakness in hands and legs
⚠️ Difficulty standing, walking, and performing daily activities
⚠️ Numbness, tingling, and loss of balance

The cause?

A severely compressed spinal cord at C5-C6, along with multiple levels of cervical and lumbar nerve compression.

After detailed evaluation, a comprehensive surgical plan was performed:

✅ C5-C6 & C6-C7 ACDF (Anterior Cervical Discectomy & Fusion)
✅ L3-L4 & L4-L5 Decompression with Spinal Fixation

And the early recovery results have been encouraging:

✨ Significant reduction in neck and back pain
✨ Improved hand grip strength
✨ Better power in both upper and lower limbs
✨ Improved balance and walking ability
✨ Reduced numbness and tingling
✨ Greater independence in daily activities

The most important lesson?

Delaying treatment for spinal cord compression can lead to permanent neurological damage. Early diagnosis and timely spine surgery can dramatically improve quality of life.

If you or a loved one is experiencing weakness in the hands, difficulty walking, balance problems, or persistent neck/back pain, don't ignore the warning signs.
