A bit scientific research on laughter, laughing

🧠 1. Stress Reduction

Laughter lowers stress hormones like cortisol and adrenaline.
At the same time, it increases endorphins (natural feel-good chemicals).

A study from Loma Linda University found that even anticipating laughter reduced stress hormones.

This is why laughter therapy is often used in stress management programs.
❤️ 2. Heart Health

Laughter improves blood vessel function and circulation.

Research published in American Journal of Cardiology showed that laughter helps expand blood vessels, improving blood flow.
It may reduce risk factors linked to heart disease.
🛡️ 3. Boosts Immunity

Some evidence suggests laughter can enhance immune function.

It may increase activity of natural killer (NK) cells and antibodies.
Though promising, this area still needs more long-term studies.
🫁 4. Respiratory & Muscle Relaxation
A good laugh:
Engages the diaphragm
Increases oxygen intake
Relaxes muscles for up to 30–45 minutes afterward
This is similar to a light internal workout.
5. Pain Tolerance

Laughter can increase pain tolerance.

🧠 6. Mental Health Benefits

Laughter helps with:

Reducing anxiety and depression symptoms
Improving mood and emotional resilience
Creating psychological distance from problems.

Keep laughing stay happy and healthy.

⚠️ Important Reality Check

Laughter is powerful, but it’s not a cure or replacement for medical treatment.
Think of it as a supportive lifestyle tool, like yoga or meditation—not a standalone therapy

Today is adi Shankaracharya Jayanti
Adi Shankara (8th c. CE) also called Adi Shankaracharya (Sanskrit: आदि शङ्कर, आदि शङ्कराचार्य, romanized: Ādi Śaṅkara, Ādi Śaṅkarācārya, lit. 'First Shankaracharya'pronounced [aːd̪i ɕɐŋkɐraːt͡ɕaːrjɐ]),was an Indian Vedic scholar-monk, philosopher, and teacher (acharya) of Advaita Vedanta. While in recent times he is often revered as the most important Indian philosopher.
Yoga and contemplative exercises

Shankara considered the purity and steadiness of mind achieved in Yoga as an aid to gaining moksha knowledge, but such yogic state of mind cannot in itself give rise to such knowledge. To Shankara, that knowledge of Brahman springs only from inquiry into the teachings of the Upanishads. The method of yoga, encouraged in Shankara's teachings notes Comans, includes withdrawal of mind from sense objects as in Patanjali's system, but it is not complete thought suppression, instead it is a "meditative exercise of withdrawal from the particular and identification with the universal, leading to contemplation of oneself as the most universal, namely, Consciousness".Describing Shankara's style of yogic practice, Comans writes:

the type of yoga which Sankara presents here is a method of merging, as it were, the particular (visesa) into the general (samanya). For example, diverse sounds are merged in the sense of hearing, which has greater generality insofar as the sense of hearing is the locus of all sounds. The sense of hearing is merged into the mind, whose nature consists of thinking about things, and the mind is in turn merged into the intellect, which Sankara then says is made into 'mere cognition' (vijnanamatra); that is, all particular cognitions resolve into their universal, which is cognition as such, thought without any particular object. And that in turn is merged into its universal, mere Consciousness (prajnafnaghana), upon which everything previously referred to ultimately depends

We are made of nature… and healing also lies in nature 🌿🌳🌅⛰️

Recently, I attended a Naturopathy workshop at National Institute of Naturopathy. Yewale wadi Kondhwa Pune (Ministry of Ayush)organised by Maharashtra Yog and wellness connect , Amritwani Yog Kendra and Global Yoga Summit 2026 where I experienced simple yet powerful practices—massage therapy, steam, mud bath, satvik aahar, yogasana practice, and Neti Kriya.

This experience reminded me of a very deep truth:
Our body is not separate from nature. It responds, heals, and balances itself when brought closer to natural elements.
In today’s fast-paced life, we often move away from our natural rhythm—and that’s where imbalance begins. But through Yoga and Naturopathy, we gently return to our roots.

✨How they help us stay disease-free:

🧖Detoxification through practices like steam, mud therapy, and kriyas.

I🧘Improved digestion & metabolism with satvik food🥣🥬🍏🥔🥔

💆Better circulation & relaxation through massage and yoga.

🚼Stronger immunity & inner balance with regular yogic practices.

✔️Mental clarity & stress reduction, which is the root of many disorders.

What I truly experienced was not just techniques—but awareness.
Awareness of how small, natural changes can bring big transformation in our health.

Healing doesn’t always require something external or complex.
Sometimes, it simply asks us to reconnect—with nature, with breath, and with ourselves.

🌱 Yoga and Naturopathy are not just practices… they are a way of living in harmony with nature.

Muladhara to Sahasrara chakra BRAHMCHARYA ASANA
The back or posterior body as the West (paschima). In this asana the western part or back of the body intensely stretched . The asana is therefore called paschimuttanasan.

✔️Very effective for liver spleen, pancreas kidneys and instenine
✔️The adrenal glands are appeased ,so that an agitated mind is pacified
🧘This asna gives relief to women suffering from menorrhagia and white discharge.
⚡⚡MODIFICATION
⚡Hard to bend forward, place a folded blanket underneath the hips to raise seat, and the rest the head on bolster.
💫 Raising the seat is also beneficial for hyperacidity, indigestion, heartburn🔥and excessive gas in abdomen.
👉 KEY POINTS
📍DO NOT SUCK IN OR HARDEN THE ABDOMEN WHILE EXTENDING THE SPINE AS THIS CAUSE MENSTRUAL DISORDERS IN WOMEN.
📍DO NOT BEND KNEES Bending the knees puts undue stress on the lumbar spine and the SCIATIC NERVE. (use brick below heels, blanket under knees)
🕉️BRAHMCHARYA
WHEN the trunk is literally folded over thel legs , the life -giving energy travels from the heels to hips , and from the tailbone to the uppermost vertebra of the cervical spine.
In Yogic practice, it travels from the Muladhara to chakra to Sahasrara Chakra at which point the asana becomes BRAMCHARYAASANA, or the asana that restrain s sexual desire.

Shavasana looks simple… but for many, it’s the hardest pose to truly relax in.
Some people experience strain in lower back when they extend their legs.
Some complain of palpitations and insist to on keeping their eyes wide open.
Tight lower back, restless mind, or discomfort in stillness—these are signs your body needs support, not force.

A small adjustment like a bolster under the knees can completely change your experience.
(Tightness in the hamstrings or in the back of the knees due to osteoarthritis prevents the leg from straightening . Placing the bolster underneath the thigh and knees will help to relax rigid muscles)

✨ Because relaxation is not about doing less… it’s about doing it right.
