Over the past few weeks, we had the privilege of mentoring a wonderful batch of 8 psychology students from colleges across Pune as a part of our ๐๐ง-๐ญ๐ก๐-๐๐จ๐ ๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ข๐ง๐ (๐๐๐) ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ.
Our aim was to create an experience that goes beyond observation. We wanted each intern to actively engage with the process of becoming a mental health professional.
๐๐ก๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐จ๐ ๐ซ๐๐ฆ, ๐ญ๐ก๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐ฌ:
* Completed structured learning tasks and assignments.
* Participated in training sessions on various therapeutic approaches.
* Planned and facilitated workshops on diverse mental health topics.
* Learned how counselling works in real-world settings.
* Learned the fundamentals of Psychometry and Psychological testing.
* Learned under the guidance of experienced psychologists while collaborating with like-minded peers.
* Reflected on their experiences and presented their key learnings to the team.
What stood out most was their curiosity, thoughtful questions, growing confidence, and eagerness to learn. We hope this experience has strengthened both their skills and confidence as they take the next steps toward becoming future mental health professionals.
To all our interns, thank you for showing up with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn. Wishing each one of you the very best for everything that comes next.
