टेढ़ी कोहनी (Cubitus Varus) का ईलाज़:

बच्चों में कोहनी का फ्रैक्चर अक्सर देखने को मिलता है - इस फ्रैक्चर को Supracondylar Fracture कहा जाता है।सटीक ईलाज के अभाव में, कोहनी की हड्डी जुड़ तो जाती है पर कोहनी टेढ़ी हो जाती है।

ऐसी टेढ़ी कोहनी वाले बच्चों की कोहनी ऑपरेशन से बिल्कुल ठीक हो सकती है, जैसा कि इस फोटो में दिखाया गया है। इस बालक की दाईं कोहनी कुछ वर्ष पहले चोट लगने से फ्रैक्चर हो गई थी, जो टेढ़ी ही जुड़ गई थी। ऑपरेशन से पहले और ऑपरेशन के बाद की तस्वीर इस बात को स्पष्ट करती है कि कोहनी को फिर से बिल्कुल नॉर्मल बना दिया गया है।

Last evening a case of RTA came to us - a 45 yr madrasa teacher was traveling in a three wheeler which was hit by a four wheeler from behind. This patient had segmental fracture Both Bones Right leg.

Operated today morning - Closed Interlocked intramedullary nailing was done. Thankfully, his smile is back on his face now.

There's a patient of Parkinson's Syndrome in Anand Hospital who has fractured his right Patella (the knee cap bone) in a fall from roof few days back. Yesterday this patient was operated upon for his fracture.

Never had the opportunity to interact with a patient of advanced Parkinson's so closely and for so long earlier. My heart goes out - not only for him, but also for his family members, who have to endure such a debilitating disease. May the Almighty give them courage and strength!

Team Anand Hospital performed an Arthroscopic Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction on 26th January on a patient from Kolkata suburb (whose in laws are from Jalalgarh, Purnea).

This was our 10th ACL Reconstruction.
