Clubfoot Day Celebrated at DEIC, AH GMC Rajouri
Today, Clubfoot Day was celebrated at DEIC, Associated Hospital GMC Rajouri, in collaboration with CURE India and the Department of Orthopedics, GMC Rajouri.
A total of 22 children participated in the day-long event, which aimed to honor young "ambassadors" who are successfully recovering from clubfoot and to spread awareness among families affected by the condition. The program also served to educate the community about the importance of early treatment and to dispel common misconceptions.
Dr. Zubair Lone, Assistant Professor, Department of Orthopedics, delivered an informative lecture on the myths and facts related to clubfoot and the benefits of early intervention.
Dr. Shamim Ahmed, Medical Superintendent, AH GMC Rajouri, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the role of DEIC and the RBSK program in supporting affected children and families. He encouraged attendants to spread awareness in the community.
