High-Risk Aortic Stenosis Successfully Treated with TAVI

A 79-year-old gentleman with severe and multiple significant comorbidities was high risk for surgery.

Therefore, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation ( ) was chosen as a less invasive alternative.

The procedure was performed uneventfully with . The patient was ambulated the very next day and discharged home in good clinical condition within 48 hours.

હાઇ-રિસ્ક એઓર્ટિક સ્ટેનોસિસની TAVI દ્વારા સફળ સારવાર

79 વર્ષીય દર્દીને ગંભીર સાથે અનેક રોગો હતા. આ તમામ પરિબળોને કારણે Surgery માટે high-risk હતુ.

તેથી, ઓછા ઇન્વેસિવ વિકલ્પ તરીકે Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation ( ) કરવામાં આવી.

પ્રક્રિયા સફળતાપૂર્વક અને કોઈ જટિલતા વિના પૂર્ણ થઈ. દર્દીને બીજા જ દિવસે દર્દી ચાલવા લાગ્યા અને માત્ર 48 કલાકમાં સારી સ્થિતિમાં ઘરે રજા આપવામાં આવી.

આ કેસ દર્શાવે છે કે, ઓછા ઇન્વેસિવ ( ) દ્વારા હાઇ-રિસ્ક સર્જિકલ દર્દીની સારવાર કરીને તેને માત્ર થોડા જ દિવસોમાં સ્વસ્થ સ્થિતિમાં ઘરે પરત મોકલી શકાય છે.

A 38y/ F presented with BP 240/130 + severe chest & back pain →
Diagnosed as extensive Stanford Type B aortic dissection with intramural hematoma on echo n CT.

➡️ Managed percutaneously with TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair) → stable post-discharge

Dear Colleagues,

As a solution for complex angioplasty in tortuous and calcified coronaries, we have developed a novel Traction Balloon Technique (Raval Technique).

the American Journal of Cardiovascular Disease, PubMed indexed (🇺🇸 NIH).

This technique has been safely utilized in real-world clinical practice, with 270+ cases over the past 6+ years, including complex interventions involving:
• IVUS
• Rotablation
• IntraVascular Lithotripsy (IVL).

We successfully treated a patient with severe narrowing of a heart valve ( ) using a minimally invasive procedure ( ), without open-heart surgery.

Despite high risk due to lung disease and complex anatomy, the patient recovered well and walked home within 2 days. Grateful to the patient, family, and our entire cardiac team for their trust and teamwork. 🙏💙

🧠I’m happy to share that our research on using to analyze images of heart artery (Coronary Angiography) has been published in a top international journal- “ENGINEERING APPLICATIONS OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE”.

This was also presented previously at American Heart Association, 2024 @ Chicago, USA

This work shows how can help doctors understand blocked heart arteries more accurately and support better treatment decisions.
