On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, an awareness session on “Organ Donation: Medical and Ethical Dimensions” was organised at Military Hospital, Namkum.
Around 60 troops from various units participated in the awareness session, reflecting the commitment of the Armed Forces towards promoting awareness and encouraging the noble cause of organ donation.
The session was addressed by Ms. Salvia, Consultant- IEC, Media and Publication, SOTTO Jharkhand, who sensitised the attendees about the importance of organ donation, its medical aspects, ethical considerations, and the need to make informed decisions about donation.
The session was attended by Brig Anirban Gupta, Commandant, Military Hospital, Namkum; Col JM Varghese, Senior Registrar & OC Troops; Lt Col Sunita George, Officiating PM; and Lt Col Deepa Grewal, Transplant Coordinator.
