HIP fractures in elderly , if done properly can give very good outcome. Good reduction and strong fixation can dispel many misconceptions regarding elderly hip fracture.
Most pts are made mobile next day . This 87 yr female was made to walk next day and discharged on 3 rd day . They require good Nursing care at home . Fixation and mobility makes the nursing care much easier. These pts mostly return to their normal activities by end of 3 months.

Tendoachilis rupture is very common injury we see, sometimes patients turn up late so reconstruction is required sometimes required . One such pt presented 1month after injury difficulty in walking and pain heel.
MRI showed Tendoachilis rupture with huge gap.
Reconstruction was done with FHL based tendon and rerouted into heel using endobutton and bioscrew.
No 9 months follow up pt having absolutely jo problem in walking and other activities

48 yr male complex knee and wrist injury ,
Primary fixation and reconstruction done with plates . Bone graft was used in distal femur to fill the gap and distal femur plate titanium and headless ( Herbert screws) screw used to reconstruct the joint and stimulan granules mixed with vancomycin and gentamicin used to prevent infection. .
Hope for the best in worst scenario
