As reflection is within the mirror, so does u r GURU abide within U ...but as the mirror needs an image outside to reflect in/on...the same way we need a GURU( master,Guide, teacher) in any form who show us the real image inside, within U...
When the Great Guru Nanak Dev said " let no man live in the world of DILUSION, without a guru none can cross over the other side of SANSAR"...he means we need a ship to cross the River of SAMSAR...but make sure when u r in the ship u need to learn how to sail the ship...put the effort, Practice the teaching of u r GURU, who makes u independent , not dependent on it...
GURU helps to over come our Greed, envy, hatred , mental condition to Guide us on Spiritual path( dnt separate spirituality then day to day life struggle)
GURU is just a reflection of u r own SELF..May b u need a GURU outside or not..but we must understand our self as IT IS...with GURU or without GURU...
