Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama ashram is dedicated to teaching the subtle aspects of Himalayan Yoga Meditation. Swami Ritavan Bharati is our Spiritual Guide.

Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama (SRSG) Ashram's purpose is to teach and make available the knowledge of yoga meditation within the Tradition of the Himalayan Masters, as interpreted by Swami Rama of the Himalayas and taught by Swami Veda Bharati. Grama means "village" and Sadhaka means "spiritual seeker" in the sanskrit language -thus we are "A village of spiritual seekers devoted to the teachings of Swami Rama of the Himalayas." Built like a beautiful Meditation hill village, our ashram was established by Swami Veda Bharati in 2002. SRSG is dedicated to restoring yoga and meditation to their ancient and traditional purity, yet retaining the same in a modern scientific framework, exploring their application to the modern world, and fulfilling these purposes by training spiritual guides and teachers of international stature. A main focus of the ashram is to share with all who visit the science and philosophy of meditation, and to show how the incorporation of meditation into daily life can allow for greater happiness, peace and satisfaction. We aim to individualize our programs, taking into account the particular areas of interests of our guests, but all newcomers do go through a series of classes that introduce, orient and share the foundation practices and philosophy of the Himalayan Tradition. Our activities include teaching the art and science of Yoga Meditation and carrying out Research and Publications in the field of Yoga Meditation and related branches of knowledge. We are registered in India as a non-profit society. A day of Karma Yoga in the Gurukulam🌱

Learning in the Gurukulam extends beyond the classroom. Everyday offers an opportunity to learn, not only through study, but through practice .

Our Gurukulam students joined the ashram's dedicated gardening team in planting trees, caring for the land, and harvesting from the ashram farm. They enjoyed every moment of working with Mother Earth.💚

It was an experience of Karma yoga in practice:working with awareness, selfless service and to offer each action wholeheartedly.

🌸A New Chapter Begins in Swami Rama Dhyana Gurukulam🌸

On the sacred day of Guru Purnima, 29 July, a new Gurukulam journey began.

From India, Taiwan, and the USA, seekers have come together—each carrying a different story, yet united by a shared aspiration and longing for self transformation.

Some have been students within the tradition for many years, returning to deepen their journey. Others are new members of our spiritual family, taking their first steps on this sacred journey.

As they begin this new chapter, we offer our heartfelt prayers to the Guru lineage that has lovingly carried this wisdom across generations.

May the Guru’s grace illuminate the spiritual path for our Gurukulam family.

May their hearts remain open, their aspiration strong, and their minds steady.

In Loving Remembrance of our beloved Swami Veda Bharati

On this auspicious day our beloved Swami Veda Bharati ji’s 93rd birth anniversary, we, at Swami Rama Sadhaka Grama Ashram in Rishikesh, will collectively offer a 12-Hours Akhanda Japa (non-stop recitation) of our Sangha Mantra—the Vasudeva mantra or one’s Personal Initiation mantra in silence at the Initiation Room.

The Akhanda Japa will begin at 9 am on 24 March and will be completed at 9 pm.

Immerse yourself in the boundless love and warmth of Swamiji during this sacred occasion, honoring the Guru Spirit for as long as your heart yearns and your body allows, from your own home.
