Basic Endoscopy Therapeutic Course Successfully Conducted at Parmar Hospital, Ropar
Ropar, July 26, 2026: A two-day “Basic Endoscopy Therapeutic Course” was successfully organized at Parmar Hospital, Ropar on 25th and 26th July 2026, bringing together surgeons from across Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh for intensive hands-on training in gastrointestinal endoscopy.
The workshop was conducted with the objective of enhancing the practical skills of surgeons in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy through live demonstrations, interactive discussions, and expert guidance. Delegates actively participated in the scientific sessions and appreciated the opportunity to gain practical insights from experienced faculty members.
The course was enriched by valuable online addresses from ASI President Dr. M. Pandian and Country Lead for Endoscopy, Dr. Govindraj, who highlighted the growing importance of endoscopy in modern surgical practice and appreciated the initiative taken to promote structured training among young surgeons. The state leadership of ASI was represented by Dr. Harish Matta, President, ASI Punjab Chapter, who interacted with the delegates and faculty. He congratulated the organizing team and expressed his appreciation for the efforts of Dr. BPS Parmar, Immediate Past President, ASI Punjab Chapter, in successfully hosting a high-quality academic program that will contribute significantly to improving endoscopic skills among surgeons.
The distinguished faculty included Dr. G. Siddesh (Director, Social Welfare Council, ASI), Dr. Bhavneet Bhalla, Dr. BPS Parmar, Dr. Abhinav Anand, Dr. Sushil, and Dr. Jagdeep Choudhary, who shared their expertise through lectures, live endoscopic procedures, and interactive sessions.
