Postpartum bleeding (lochia) can last 4-6 weeks — starting bright red, gradually turning pink, then white/yellow discharge. This is completely normal, nothing to feel embarrassed about! 🙌

🚩 Red flags you should NEVER ignore:

• Soaking through a pad in under an hour
• Large clots (bigger than a golf ball)
• Fever or foul-smelling discharge
• Dizziness or racing heartbeat

New moms, learn to listen to your body. If something feels off, don’t wait it out — call your doctor! 💛

You’re not alone in this postpartum journey. Save this for later & tag a new mom who needs to see this 💌

Share with a mom to be : 🤰🏻 Vomiting in pregnancy is common - but it shouldn’t always be dismissed as “normal.”

While mild nausea and vomiting can be a part of early pregnancy, severe or persistent vomiting can lead to dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, weight loss and nutritional deficiencies.

If you’re unable to keep food or fluids down, passing very little urine, feeling extremely weak or dizzy, or losing weight, it’s important to speak to your doctor. ❤️

Don’t suffer silently thinking, “Pregnancy mein toh hota hi hai.”
The right treatment can make a big difference.

Kajal on a baby’s eyes may look harmless, but those tiny eyes don’t need it. 👶🏻👁️

Putting kajal/surma in a baby’s eyes can potentially:
• Cause irritation, redness and watering
• Introduce bacteria and increase the risk of eye infection
• Contaminate the eye, especially when the same applicator is repeatedly used
• Some traditionally prepared or unregulated kajal products may contain lead, which can be harmful to children
• Get into the tear drainage system and cause problems, especially with frequent application

And no — kajal does not make a baby’s eyes bigger, brighter or healthier.

Your baby’s eyes are beautiful exactly as they are. ❤️
Skip the kajal and protect those little eyes.

⚠️This content is for awareness and does not replace individual medical advice. If your baby develops redness, swelling, discharge, excessive watering or discomfort in the eye, consult a pediatrician/ophthalmologist.

Baby is looking yellow after birth? 💛 Don’t panic - but don’t ignore it either.

Newborn jaundice is very common. It happens when bilirubin builds up in the baby’s blood, causing the skin and eyes to look yellow.

In physiological jaundice, this usually appears after the first 24 hours, peaks around day 3–5 in term babies, and gradually settles as the baby’s liver matures.

Good feeding is important because it helps the body get rid of bilirubin through urine and stools. Your paediatrician may also recommend bilirubin monitoring depending on your baby’s age and levels.

🚨 Seek prompt medical attention if:
• Jaundice appears within the first 24 hours
• Yellowing is increasing rapidly
• Baby is feeding poorly or unusually sleepy
• Baby has a fever
• Yellowing reaches the palms or soles
