A challenging gallbladder cancer presenting with jaundice and a tumor involving the bile duct confluence. Detailed imaging and careful pre-operative planning helped assess the liver volume and the relationship of the tumor with an important blood vessel. During surgery, the vessel was safely separated from the tumor, allowing complete removal of the cancer while preserving adequate liver function. The patient underwent radical cholecystectomy with bile duct and confluence excision, lymph node clearance, and reconstruction of bile drainage. Final histopathology confirmed a well-differentiated gallbladder adenocarcinoma, with all margins and 14 lymph nodes free of cancer. The patient recovered well and was discharged on the 6th post-operative day.

A Proud Academic Moment at AMASI 2026 | Kolkata.

Had the privilege of being part of the 21st International Conference of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.

I had the opportunity to deliver a talk on: Robotic Frey’s: Tips, Tricks & Technical Pearls.
