A Proud Academic Moment at AMASI 2026 | Kolkata.

Had the privilege of being part of the 21st International Conference of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India (AMASI) at the Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata.

I had the opportunity to deliver a talk on: Robotic Frey’s: Tips, Tricks & Technical Pearls.

It was equally rewarding to see Dr. Gopal Gadade from Team Vimalakar being represented across multiple academic sessions:
2 Institutional Best Video Presentations
* Laparoscopic RAMPS with Left Nephrectomy for Carcinoma Pancreas
* Laparoscopic Posterior Sectionectomy

1 Paper Presentation
* Spectrum of Laparoscopic CBD Exploration

A wonderful opportunity to share experiences, learn from peers, and contribute to the evolving field of minimally invasive and robotic surgery.

I appreciate Dr. Tamonas sir and the whole organising team for a 4 days long wonderful conference with an innovative silent hall with multiple screens.🙏

I also congratulate Senthil Anna for becoming AMASI President elect..🙌

Happy Raakhi 💐❤️

What an incredible journey it has been. It’s been two years since we started this initiative, and I feel truly lucky and humbled to have had the opportunity to touch so many lives.

Kudos to my team and my family for their consistent effort, unwavering support and hard work. None of this would have been possible without them.

This journey has taught me so much and, somewhere along the way, it has brought out a completely new version of me.

50 camps, thousands of lives touched, and a journey that has only just begun. 💛

Serving with Purpose

Kunjara Yatra (free cancer screening camp) was conducted at Narsapur G, Nirmal. Where 350+ people were screened.

Early detection can save lives. We are happy and humbled to serve the needy and underserved communities through such initiatives. ❤️

Together, let’s create awareness, encourage early screening, and fight cancer.

When liver cancer demands more than just removing the tumour.

Hepatocellular carcinoma can grow silently and, when it becomes large, surgical treatment becomes technically demanding. The challenge is not only achieving complete tumour clearance, but doing so while preserving enough healthy liver to support recovery.

Major liver resections require meticulous planning and precise control of the hepatic veins, portal structures and bile ducts, often working within millimetres of critical anatomy.

For complex liver surgery, precision, experience and preservation of the future liver remnant can make all the difference.

Removing the disease. Preserving the liver. Delivering precision.

Chronic Calcific Pancreatitis – When Surgery Makes a Difference

Chronic pancreatitis can cause scarring and calcium deposits in the pancreas, leading to blockage, severe pain, and digestive problems.

In advanced cases, a Frey’s procedure helps by removing the diseased, hardened portion of the pancreas and creating a new drainage pathway to relieve pressure and pain.

It is a complex and technically demanding surgery, performed close to major blood vessels and vital abdominal organs, while preserving as much healthy pancreatic tissue as possible.

Grateful to see patients recover well and return with a positive experience.

Not every stomach pain is “just acidity.”

Sometimes, the cause is MALS (Median Arcuate Ligament Syndrome)—a rare condition where a ligament compresses a major blood vessel supplying the abdomen. This can lead to severe pain after eating, weight loss, and a poor quality of life. Because the symptoms mimic common digestive problems, the diagnosis is often delayed.

Our patient underwent a robotic MALS release, an advanced minimally invasive procedure that allows precise surgery through tiny incisions, resulting in less pain, faster recovery, and excellent outcomes.
