For Eastern Brook Band, the journey wasn't easy. But with perseverance, the support of their community, and the encouragement of leaders who believed in their potential, they continued to move forward.

A special milestone came through the support of Hon'ble Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, whose encouragement and assistance helped the band showcase their talent on larger platforms.

As part of their internship at the State Resource Centre on Disability Affairs (SRCDA), our interns explored the art of visual storytelling through the Photo Story Project. Their assignment was simple capture moments that reflect the lives, talents, and dignity of persons with disabilities.

Featuring the inspiring journey of Bah Benister Kharpor, a visually impaired street musician, these photographs go beyond the lens to tell stories of resilience, talent, hope, and inclusion. From the strings of a guitar to the hands that create music, from acts of kindness to unwavering determination, each image reminds us that disability does not define a person's potential.

Behind every football star is a story beyond the pitch.

Many know Marc Cucurella for his passion and determination on the football field. But fewer know about one of the greatest journeys in his life being a father to Mateo, his son who is autistic.

When Mateo showed developmental differences at a young age, Marc and his family chose understanding over fear, acceptance over stigma, and early support over waiting. Their journey reminds us that every child deserves the opportunity to grow in an environment that embraces their unique strengths.

Autism is not an illness to be cured. It is a different way of experiencing and interacting with the world.

With love, acceptance, early intervention, and the right support, autistic children can learn, communicate, build meaningful relationships, and thrive in their own unique ways.

Football is more than something to watch, it’s something to experience together.

This World Cup season, let's make every match inclusive.

One simple way to include a person with visual impairment or low vision is through visual narration. Instead of only reacting to the game, describe what's happening on the field in real time.

What is visual narration?
Visual narration means describing the action that isn't fully explained by the commentators such as where the ball is, which team is attacking, players' movements, their expressions, celebrations, the atmosphere in the stadium, and other important visual details. This helps a person with visual impairment or low vision build a mental picture of the match and enjoy the excitement alongside everyone else.

Inclusion doesn't always require special technology. Sometimes, it simply starts with your voice.

This World Cup, don't just watch the game, share the experience.
