The HIV/AIDS Awareness Roadshow by Meghalaya AIDS Control Society continued its journey across West Khasi Hills, receiving an overwhelming response at Iew Mairang, Iew Nongstoin and Khatsawphra College, Mairang. At every location, Amaace Dancing Club energized the crowd with vibrant dance performances, drawing people together and creating an engaging atmosphere before the HIV/AIDS awareness sessions began. Their performances helped attract large audiences and encouraged greater community participation throughout the Roadshow.
The market roadshows attracted large gatherings of shoppers, vendors and members of the public, who engaged with informative videos, public announcements, interactive awareness activities and flash mob performances promoting HIV awareness, prevention, HIV testing and stigma reduction. At Khatsawphra College, students and teachers actively participated in the awareness programme, demonstrating their commitment to creating informed, healthy and stigma-free communities.
Together, we are taking accurate HIV information directly to the people, encouraging everyone to know their HIV status, access free HIV prevention, testing and treatment services, and help end stigma and discrimination.
