We recently installed a state of the art Mass Spectrometry for global proteomics study in cancer as part of a major grant from the ICMR (Gov. of India) that is led by Lead Principal Investigator Dr. Rajeev Kumar, and Co-Principal Investigators Dr. R Ravi Kannan and Dr. Litika Vermani.

This advanced nanoLC mass spectrometry will help decipher the reason for high early onset colorectal cancer incidence in the country particularly NE India. SantoshKumar R is working as a project scientist in this study.

Special thanks to our collaborator Prof Sanjeeva Srivastava, IITB for his expert suggestions during its procurement

This Mass Spectrometry will further enhance the scope of cancer proteomics study as well as build new collaborations in NE India.

ICMR special task force project for the Comprehensive Microbiome Analysis in cancers was awarded to the Principal Investigators Dr. R Ravi Kannan, Dr. Rajeev Kumar and Co-PI Dr. Litika vermani and Dr. Ritesh Tapkire. Project Scientist Santhosh Kumar R performing the microbiome assay in stomach cancer.

High throughput high risk HPV testing for the prevention of cervical cancer through population level screening in self sample collection mode in being performed at the Research Div., SKCREC in collaboration the Dept. of Preventive Oncology at the Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre to prevent cervical cancer in Assam, Bharat.
