🎓 Orientation Class for D.Pharm 1st Year | Divine College of Pharmacy

A new academic journey begins with a new perspective, new aspirations, and a commitment to learn.

Today, our Principal Dr-Shambaditya Goswami interacted with our D.Pharm 1st Year students at Divine College of Pharmacy, Siwan, Bihar, as part of their introductory orientation class.

The session was designed not merely to introduce the students to their course, but to help them understand the meaning, responsibility, and possibilities of the pharmacy profession.

🔹 Pharmacy beyond the medical store – Exploring the diverse dimensions of pharmacy and the role of pharmacists as medicine experts and healthcare professionals.

🔹 Understanding the D.Pharm journey – How Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Human Anatomy & Physiology, Pharmacology, Pharmacy Practice and other subjects contribute to professional development.

🔹 Patient First – Understanding that every medicine ultimately reaches a human being and therefore patient safety, rational use of medicines and ethical practice must remain at the centre of pharmacy.

Day 2 Successfully Concluded | Two-Day Workshop-cum-FDP
The Day 2 of the Two-Day Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme on “Digital Research Tools and Experimental Pharmacology” was successfully conducted at Divine College of Pharmacy, Siwan, Bihar, in association with Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) – Bihar State Branch, under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC).
The second day featured an insightful and highly practical session by Dr. Dharmendra Ahuja, Principal Mentor – Experimental Pharmacology Software, Bureau for Health and Education Status Upliftment, India, on:
“Experimental Pharmacology – A Hands-on Training”
Dr. Ahuja provided participants with detailed practical demonstrations and hands-on training using Experimental Pharmacology Software, enabling them to understand the application of digital tools in experimental pharmacology. The interactive session offered valuable exposure to technology-assisted experimental design, practical simulations, and research-oriented applications in pharmacology.
We were honoured by the presence of Dr. Mihir Kumar Kar, Central APTI, Vice-President, Eastern Region, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Saumendu Deb Roy, Vice-President, APTI-Bihar & Dean, Mata Gujri University, Kishanganj, as the Guest of Honour.
The successful completion of this two-day programme reflects our collective commitment to strengthening research capabilities, promoting digital innovation, and advancing pharmacy education.
Heartfelt thanks to APTI – Central and APTI – Bihar State Branch for their valuable association, support, and contribution in making this academic initiative a meaningful success.

Successfully Concluded | Two-Day Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme
The Day 1 session of the Two-Day Workshop-cum-Faculty Development Programme on "Digital Research Tools and Experimental Pharmacology", jointly organized by Divine College of Pharmacy, Siwan, Bihar, in association with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India (APTI) – Bihar State Branch, under the aegis of the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), was successfully conducted on 7th August 2026.
We were privileged to have Dr. Mihir Kumar Kar, Vice-President, APTI Eastern Region, as the Chief Guest, whose inspiring address emphasized the importance of strengthening research competencies among pharmacy professionals and encouraged participants to embrace modern research technologies.
The programme was graced by Dr. Bhuvneshwar Dutta Tripathi, President, APTI Bihar State Branch, as the Guest of Honour, who highlighted the growing significance of research quality, innovation, and academic collaboration in pharmaceutical education.
The keynote technical session was delivered by Dr Tejpal, Amity University Rajasthan, on the topic:
"Mastering Research Tools for Literature Databases & Reference Management: A Practical Workshop for Pharmaceutical Researchers."
The session provided an engaging hands-on demonstration of essential digital research tools, literature databases, and reference management techniques. Participants gained practical insights into conducting efficient literature searches, organizing scholarly references, managing citations, and improving the overall quality and integrity of scientific writing. The interactive discussions and live demonstrations made the workshop highly informative and beneficial for faculty members, researchers, postgraduate scholars, and students.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from academicians and researchers, reflecting a shared commitment to advancing research excellence through digital innovation.
We sincerely thank our Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, eminent speaker, participants, and organizing team for making the inaugural day a grand success. We look forward to another enriching session on Day 2 with Dr. Dharmendra Ahuja, focusing on Experimental Pharmacology Software.
