Some people leave behind memories. Parisha leaves behind a feeling. 🌸

She led with quiet confidence, endless patience, and a heart that always made room for everyone. She had a way of making every idea feel possible, every member feel seen, and every challenge feel a little lighter. To us, she wasn’t just a Convenor, she was a guide, a comforting presence, and the kind of senior who believed in us even before we believed in ourselves. Grace followed her everywhere she went, in the way she carried herself, the way she spoke, the way she created, and yes, in every outfit she effortlessly pulled off. But what we’ll remember most is the warmth she brought into every room and every conversation.

Thank you, Parisha, for leaving behind more than memories, you leave behind a feeling we’ll carry with us wherever Izhaar goes next. A piece of Izhaar will always carry your kindness, and a piece of all of us will always carry yours. 💗

Some people brighten a room without even trying. Kriti has always been one of them. 🌼

She carried sunshine in her laughter, kindness in her words, and a sense of humour that could turn even the busiest days into memories worth keeping. She was the person you instinctively looked for in a room. No matter who you were or what you needed, Kriti was always someone you could count on, approachable, reassuring, and endlessly sweet. She had a way of making people feel comfortable, heard, and welcomed, simply by being herself. More than our Co-Convenor, Kriti became the heart of countless little moments that made Izhaar feel like home.

Thank you for being our safe space, our loudest laugh, and one of the brightest lights in our journey. A little bit of your warmth will always stay with us. 💗

Some people carry elegance so effortlessly that it becomes a part of who they are. Charvi has always been one of them. 🪷

With a heart rooted in kindness and a mind full of thoughtfulness, Charvi made everyone around her feel respected, heard, and valued. She carried an old-soul charm with quiet confidence, finding beauty in simplicity, traditions, and the little things that often go unnoticed. She listened with intention and led with sincerity. Whether it was her timeless kurtis that she wore so gracefully or the calm she brought into every room, she reminded us that true strength often speaks the softest.

Thank you, Charvi, for filling Izhaar with warmth, compassion, and a sense of calm that we’ll always remember. Your presence was gentle, your heart was unwavering, and your kindness will always remain a part of this family. 💗

At Izhaar, the Mental Health Initiative of Gargi College, we believe that healing often begins with small acts of care and connection.

Through our Potluck Event for Eating Disorder Awareness, we came together to celebrate a healthier relationship with food in a safe, welcoming space. Members of Izhaar shared nourishing snacks from fruits to protein bars and other wholesome treats, while also sharing conversations, stories, and emotional burdens with one another.

The gathering served as a gentle reminder that food is more than nourishment for the body, it can also bring people together, foster understanding, and create moments of comfort and belonging. By encouraging openness and compassion, we hoped to make space for conversations around eating disorders that are often left unspoken.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to making this initiative meaningful. Every shared meal, every conversation, and every act of kindness helped make our community a little stronger.

At Izhaar, the mental health initiative of Gargi College, we believe that mental wellbeing is nurtured through everyday acts of care. From 9th to 12th February, Izhaar added a small but meaningful touch to everyday campus life. Handwritten notes of encouragement were placed on Nescafé cups, turning a simple cup of coffee into a moment of reflection and positivity. Through this initiative, we hoped to remind students and faculty alike that even brief moments of kindness can make a difference. The initiative aimed to create small, accessible moments of encouragement in the middle of busy academic days. We are grateful for the enthusiastic participation and appreciation from both students and faculty.

Kindness is a quiet force, simple, universal, and deeply human. It is the small moments of empathy that shape safer, warmer spaces for all of us.
On World Kindness Day, Izhaar, the Mental Health Initiative of Gargi College, interacted with faculty, non-faculty and students across the campus, asking what kindness meant to them and whether they had experienced or expressed an act of kindness recently. These conversations highlighted how compassion, even in its smallest forms, creates meaningful ripples in our community.
Let’s continue choosing understanding, patience and care, today and every day.
