Noora Hospital Srinagar took its ongoing organ donation outreach to the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) by conducting a dedicated programme at Headquarters 162 BN CRPF, Kupwara, on October 6, 2026. The initiative brought together CRPF personnel for an informed discussion on organ transplantation, the donation process and the potential of donation to save multiple lives.
The session was conducted by Dr. Aijaz Ahmad Wani, Consultant, Emergency Medicine, Noora Hospital, who spoke about the medical aspects of transplantation and addressed common misconceptions and concerns associated with donation.
Dr. Aijaz highlighted that a single deceased donor can potentially help several patients suffering from organ failure. He encouraged participants to make informed decisions and discuss their wishes with their families.
Mr. Lateef Ahmad, Head of Corporate Business, Noora Hospital, emphasised the importance of taking such initiatives to institutions and uniformed services. He said that meaningful dialogue and reliable information can help address misconceptions and encourage individuals to consider donation as a meaningful act of social responsibility.
The programme witnessed active participation from CRPF personnel, with an interactive discussion covering transplantation, the donation process and related concerns. Participants also raised queries, which were addressed during the session.
The programme is part of Noora Hospital’s continuing outreach with the CAPFs. The hospital has previously conducted similar programmes with other CAPF battalions and formations, reflecting its commitment to taking health education and socially relevant initiatives to diverse sections of society.
Noora Hospital remains committed to supporting programmes that promote informed healthcare choices, social responsibility and community welfare, with a focus on initiatives that can contribute to saving lives.
