Dr. Jaffar in Podcast with Sufi Hidaya: Hormonal Imbalance & Fertility

In women, fluctuations in FSH, LH, prolactin, or thyroid hormones can disrupt ovulation and affect egg quality, often without any visible symptoms. In men, low testosterone or abnormal FSH/LH levels can affect s***m count, motility and quality.

This is where specialized fertility care makes the difference. A routine check-up usually looks at surface-level numbers. At Valley Fertility Centre, the evaluation goes much deeper, with detailed hormonal panels, ultrasound monitoring and andrology assessments that pinpoint the exact imbalance at play, whether the concern lies with the egg or the s***m.

That precision is what shapes the treatment plan that follows: hormone correction, ovulation induction or assisted reproduction like IUI or IVF, built around what the body actually needs rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Is IVF Allowed in Islam?

Many Muslim couples facing infertility often ask whether IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) is permissible in Islam. This video explains the issue from a basic Islamic perspective and addresses common misconceptions.

According to the opinions of many contemporary Islamic scholars, IVF is permissible (Halal) when it is performed between a legally married husband and wife, using the husband's s***m and the wife's eggs, and the embryo is transferred to the wife's uterus during the valid marriage period.

Islam encourages seeking treatment for illnesses and medical conditions, including infertility. Since infertility is a medical condition, couples may seek lawful treatment while adhering to Islamic principles.

However, certain practices are generally considered impermissible, such as:

* Use of donor s***m
* Use of donor eggs
* Surrogacy involving a third woman
* Mixing of lineage (nasab)

This video aims to provide a simple and clear understanding of the Islamic viewpoint on IVF, helping couples make informed decisions while remaining faithful to Islamic teachings.

Important Note:
At Valley Fertility Centre, all fertility treatments, including IVF, are performed strictly using the husband's s***m and the wife's eggs (self-gametes only). The centre does not offer donor s***m, donor eggs, donor embryos, or surrogacy programs. This approach helps ensure that fertility treatment is carried out in accordance with ethical and legal concerning lineage and parenthood.

Valley Fertility Centre follows a strict no-donor policy, and only self-gamete IVF treatments are provide
