Is it just a "short fuse" or something more? 🧨

Many people mistake Intermittent Explosive Disorder (IED) for a simple lack of self-control or a "bad temper." In reality, IED is a complex mental health condition where the brain's "emergency brake" on anger doesn't always engage.
It often follows a distressing cycle:
🔹 Tension builds (Physical and emotional pressure)
💥 Explosion (Impulsive verbal or physical outbursts)
💨 Relief (Immediate release of pressure)
😔 Guilt (Deep regret once the moment passes)
Understanding this cycle is the first step toward breaking it. IED is influenced by trauma, environment, and biology—and most importantly, it is treatable.
Do you or someone you know struggle with this "explosion-guilt" cycle? Let’s talk about it in the comments. 👇

Moving beyond "I’m fine."
Ever feel a wave of emotion but find it impossible to put into words? Most of us default to saying "I’m fine" because we lack the vocabulary to describe what’s actually happening inside.
Emotional awareness is the first step toward better mental health. Without identifying and tracking our feelings, regulating them becomes a challenge.
That’s why I recommend How We Feel—a free, science-backed app developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.
Why this app is different:
Precision: Choose from 144 specific emotion words to label exactly how you feel.
Patterns: View monthly breakdowns to see how your sleep, exercise, or location impact your mood.
Action: It doesn't just track; it offers research-based strategies to help you regulate in the moment.

It’s Not a Choice. It’s a Condition.

Eating disorders are often hidden behind a mask of "dieting" or "lifestyle," but they are serious, biological mental health conditions. They aren't about willpower—they are about a struggle that deserves clinical expertise and deep empathy.

The Reality:
Anorexia, Bulimia, and Binge Eating Disorder are not phases.
They impact physical health, brain chemistry, and emotional stability.

Recovery isn't just possible—it’s necessary.
You don’t have to "fix" this on your own. Professional support is the bridge between struggling and thriving.

🏥 At Sadbhav Neuropsychiatry Clinic, we provide a safe space for recovery and evidence-based treatment for eating disorders and related anxiety.

It’s NOT just PMS.
You are not being dramatic.
It’s real.
It’s PMDD.

Mood swings, intense irritability, anxiety, depression, and feeling out of control before periods are not ‘overreactions’.
Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD) is a serious mental health condition that deserves awareness, empathy, and treatment.
