Doctors diagnose PCOS using the Rotterdam Criteria. You only need ANY TWO of these three signs:

✅ Irregular or missing periods.
✅ High androgen (male hormone) levels — causing hair loss, jawline acne, or unwanted facial hair.
✅ Polycystic appearance of the ovaries on a pelvic ultrasound.

📊 The actual data shows that 80%–86% of children diagnosed with ADHD were delivered vaginally, while only 14%–19% were born via C-section.

🩺 Here is the scientific reality: • Correlation is not causation: Just because two modern trends rise at the same time does not mean one caused the other. • Complex conditions: ADHD and diabetes are influenced by genetics, family history, and broader environmental factors—not just the method of delivery. • The real link: Robust peer-reviewed studies, including a massive meta-analysis of 56 million pregnancies published in The Lancet, suggest that maternal diabetes during pregnancy may slightly increase neurodevelopmental risks. This is likely due to blood sugar levels affecting fetal brain development. Maternal diabetes can also lead to larger babies, making a life-saving C-section necessary. In these cases, the C-section is the result of the underlying condition—not the cause of ADHD or diabetes.

💉 Myth: The spinal injection given before a C-section is extremely painful and causes severe back pain.

✅ Fact: The spinal injection is usually quick and causes only minimal discomfort for most patients. The procedure itself is generally well-tolerated, and many mothers are surprised by how comfortable it actually is. Always discuss any concerns with your anesthetist before surgery.
