“I noticed a small blood clot discharge… is something wrong?”

This is a concern we hear quite often, especially in early pregnancy.
And understandably, it can be alarming to see any form of bleeding.

In some cases, light spotting or small clots can occur.
This may be related to implantation, minor hormonal shifts, or local changes in the cervix.

Not all bleeding indicates a complication.
However, it is not something that should be ignored or self-interpreted.

The pattern, amount, and associated symptoms matter.
Pain, repeated bleeding, or increasing flow require prompt medical evaluation.

From a clinical perspective, any bleeding during pregnancy should be assessed.
Even when it turns out to be harmless, it is important to confirm it.

Early reassurance or early intervention — both depend on timely guidance.
And that is what helps maintain a safer pregnancy journey.

“IVF mei 9 months complete bed rest karna padta hai na?”

This is one of the most common questions we hear from patients.

And the answer is simple — No.

This is a myth.

Many people believe that once a pregnancy is achieved through IVF, the mother should avoid all activity and stay in bed throughout the pregnancy.

But IVF does not automatically mean complete bed rest.

In most cases, women can continue their daily routine, work, and normal activities while following the precautions advised by their doctor.

Of course, every pregnancy is different.

If there are specific medical concerns or complications, additional rest may be recommended.

But IVF itself is not a reason to spend 9 months in bed.

In fact, unnecessary bed rest can sometimes create more physical and mental stress than benefit.

What matters more is regular monitoring, proper nutrition, timely medications, and following your doctor’s guidance.

Because successful IVF pregnancies are built on good medical care — not on myths.

“Is one scan enough during pregnancy?”

This is a common assumption we hear.
But pregnancy monitoring is not limited to a single check.

A Level 2 Sonography (anomaly scan) plays a critical role.
It is usually done around 18–20 weeks to assess the baby’s detailed structure and organ development.

At the same time, maternal health needs equal attention.
Breast changes during pregnancy are significant, and a routine check helps identify any concerns early.

Dental health is often overlooked in this phase.
Hormonal changes can affect gums and increase the risk of infections, which can indirectly impact overall health.

From a clinical perspective, pregnancy care is not just about the baby’s growth.
It is about ensuring the mother’s health is monitored alongside.

A combined approach — fetal assessment with maternal screening —
helps create a more complete and safer pregnancy journey.

“Now that you’re pregnant, you should stop working.”

This is something many women are told early in pregnancy.
And in most cases, it comes from concern — but not always from medical need.

Pregnancy, by itself, is not a restriction on routine activity.
For a healthy, low-risk pregnancy, continuing work is usually safe with the right balance.

In fact, maintaining a routine can support both physical and mental well-being.
It helps with structure, movement, and reduces unnecessary overthinking.

The key factor is not whether you work, but how you work.
Long hours, extreme fatigue, or high stress need adjustment, not complete withdrawal.

There are, of course, specific conditions where rest is advised.
And in such cases, guidance should always be individualised based on medical evaluation.

Stopping everything without reason can sometimes create more anxiety than comfort.
Understanding what your body needs — and what it doesn’t — makes the difference.

Pregnancy is a phase of adjustment, not complete limitation.
With the right support and awareness, routine life can continue safely.

PCOS is now being recognised as PMOS — Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome.
And honestly, the change makes medical sense.

For years, women were told this condition was “just about ovaries” or “just about periods.”
But clinically, we see that it affects much more than that.

It impacts hormones, metabolism, skin, weight, mood, fertility, sleep, and even long-term health risks.
Irregular periods are often just the visible symptom of a much deeper imbalance.

Many women also experience:
• acne and hair fall
• facial hair growth
• unexplained weight gain
• fatigue and brain fog
• anxiety or mood changes
• difficulty losing weight
• insulin resistance and sugar fluctuations

The older name often made people focus only on ovarian cysts.
But in reality, many women with this condition don’t even have cysts.

The new terminology reflects what doctors have understood for a long time —
this is not just a reproductive issue, it is a whole-body metabolic and hormonal condition.

Recognising the signs early matters.
Because understanding the condition properly is the first step toward managing it better.

If you are noticing these symptoms, don’t ignore them.
Consult online or visit us for proper guidance and evaluation.
