Super Scan is the only imaging center in entire Central and South Gujarat to offer 3T MRI imaging facility. Employing the technology which was earlier limited to research purpose, Super Scan is now setting new standards in medical imaging. Tesla (T) is the unit of measurement quantifying the strength of a magnetic field. Prior to the 3T MRI Machine, the MRI standard was 1.5T. Our 3T MRI scanner g

enerates a magnetic field that is twice the strength of 1.5 Tesla machines and 10 to 15 times the strength of low field or open MRI scanners. The magnetic field produced by our 3T magnet offers extremely broad clinical reach from routine head, spine and musculature imaging to most advanced functional exams. While 1.5–tesla MR systems are good and were gold standard systems till now, they just can't characterize some subtle abnormalities as well as 3 Tesla MRI can. High field strength 3T MRI delineates structures that have not been seen before, such as blood vessels as small as 200 to 300 microns, reaching upto the ultra–structural level.

3T MRI gives exceptional anatomical details, superb image quality, high resolution images and significantly shorter scan times as compared with 1.5T MRI systems. Our 3T Achieve X MRI has patient friendly flared-bore magnet and shortest tunnel length in the industry. We have dedicated anatomy-specific SENSE coils to give highest resolution.

3T MRI is particularly beneficial for Neuro, Spine, MSK, Breast and Vascular imaging and opens up new horizons in diagnosis and management of the patients. Advanced MRI applications which we routinely do are - Brain/Breast/Prostate Spectroscopy, Nerve Imaging, Functional MRI, Tractography, WholeBody mDixon, Body/Liver Fat Quantification, WholeBody Scan, WholeBody Diffusion with background suppression (DWIBS), Brain and Body Perfusion, Ultra-high resolution imaging (2K imaging) and Cochlear Implant studies. Patients can feel apprehensive, nervous and scared when they come for MRI Scan. MRI scan room should have soft, ambient dilemma illumination in order to maintain a calm and comforting environment for patients. With our New Ambient Lighting System (First in Gujarat) for MRI room, this need is met with a functionally designed, yet aesthetically pleasing luminaries. Patients feel very comfortable with our patient friendly MRI room and maximally adds to their comfort. Take advantage of this state-of-the-art technology and choose Super Scan for imaging needs!!!

Dr. Nipun N. Jindal, Senior Consultant Radiologist and Director at SuperScan Imaging Centres, Leela HealthCare, continues to focus on evidence-based diagnostic imaging with an emphasis on patient awareness and clarity.

Dr. Nipun N. Jindal sheds light on the role of contrast in medical imaging and explains how it helps doctors see certain details more clearly.
Contrast is a special medical substance used in some CT, MRI, ultrasound, or other imaging scans to make certain organs, blood vessels, tissues, infections, tumors, or abnormalities appear more clearly. It helps the radiologist study the area in better detail and can support a more accurate diagnosis.

Many patients worry when they hear the word “contrast,” but in most cases, contrast is used safely under proper medical supervision. Before giving contrast, the team checks important details like allergy history, kidney function, pregnancy status, previous reactions, and other medical conditions.

Contrast is not needed in every scan. It is used only when the doctor feels it can add important diagnostic information.

Because the right use of contrast can make the scan clearer, the diagnosis more accurate, and the treatment direction more confident.

Dr. Nipun N. Jindal, Senior Consultant Radiologist and Director at SuperScan Imaging Centres, Leela HealthCare, continues to focus on evidence-based diagnostic imaging with an emphasis on patient awareness and clarity.

In this episode, the Doctor explains, 5 important things every patient should know before going for an MRI scan.

MRI is a safe and advanced imaging test that helps doctors get detailed images of internal organs, joints, spine, brain, soft tissues, and other body parts. But before going for an MRI, patients should be aware of a few important points.

You should inform the doctor if you have any metal implant, pacemaker, hearing device, previous surgery, or pregnancy-related concern. It is also important to remove all metal objects like jewellery, watches, belts, cards, or accessories before the scan.

Some MRI scans may require fasting or contrast injection, depending on the body part being examined. The scan may take some time, and staying still during the procedure helps in getting clear and accurate images.

Because the right information before the scan can make the process safer, smoother, and more comfortable.

Dr. Nipun N Jindal, Senior Consultant Radiologist and Director at SuperScan Imaging Centres, Leela HealthCare, continues to focus on evidence-based diagnostic imaging with an emphasis on patient awareness and clarity.

In this episode, Our doctor explains why MRI reports take time and cannot be generated immediately after the scan. An MRI is not just one image, it includes hundreds of detailed slices that need to be carefully studied for patterns, symmetry, and small abnormalities. Sometimes even a tiny line can completely change the diagnosis.

That's why only a trained expert can accurately read the scan and prepare the right report. If you don't understand your MRI results, don't rely on Google - Consult your doctor for the correct guidance.

In this Episode, Doctor explains how ultrasound is used, what it can detect, and why it plays an important role in accurate diagnosis.

Ever wondered how ultrasound helps doctors see what’s happening inside your body?

Ultrasound is a safe, painless, and commonly used scan that uses sound waves to create images of internal organs and tissues. From abdomen and pregnancy scans to soft tissue, thyroid, breast, and other body parts, it helps doctors understand your health without any cuts or radiation.

Because the right scan at the right time can give the right direction to your treatment.

A full body CT scan is not a universal answer to every health concern.

Many patients believe that one CT scan can detect all possible problems in the body and provide complete clarity. However, CT scanning is a targeted diagnostic tool. It should be advised based on symptoms, clinical examination, medical history, and the doctor’s assessment. Unnecessary full body scans may lead to incidental findings, avoidable anxiety, and radiation exposure without clear medical benefit. The right approach is always clinical evaluation first, followed by the appropriate investigation when required.

Consult your doctor. Choose the right scan, not just more scans.

A PET CT Scan is not just a regular scan, it gives doctors a deeper understanding of how the body is functioning from within.

Dr. Nipun N Jindal, Senior Consultant Radiologist and Director at SuperScan Imaging Centres, Leela HealthCare, continues to focus on evidence-based diagnostic imaging with an emphasis on patient awareness and clarity.

In this episode, we explain what exactly happens during a PET CT Scan, why it is recommended, and how it helps in detecting active disease processes inside the body. Unlike basic imaging, this scan shows metabolic activity, which means it helps doctors understand which areas of the body are more active than normal.

This can play an important role in cancer evaluation, infection detection, inflammation, treatment planning, and checking how well the treatment is working.

When you understand the process, the fear becomes less and the confidence becomes stronger.

Oh, you’re back again, so here’s another common misconception we are going to talk about today.

Worried about CT Scans and Radiation? Let’s clear the air.

A CT scan does involve X-rays, but always within a carefully controlled and medically optimized dose. The exposure is strictly regulated to ensure diagnostic benefit far outweighs any potential risk. To put it in perspective, everyday environmental exposure, such as during air travel, can be comparable in certain situations. When clinically indicated, a single CT scan does not pose a significant health risk.

Stay informed, not afraid.

Worried about CT Scans and Radiation? Let's clear the air.

Yes, a CT Scan uses X-rays - but in a controlled medical dose. And here's something surprising: even a flight exposes you to similar level of radiation.

One CT Scan does not mean you're at risk of cancer.

Stay informed, not afraid.

Dr. Nipun N Jindal, Consultant Radiologist and Director at SuperScan Imaging Centres, Leela HealthCare, brings clinical expertise with a focus on precise, evidence-based diagnostics.

In today’s episode, we’re clearing a common misconception: knee pain or bone pain doesn’t always mean you need an MRI.

In most bone-related concerns, an X-ray is usually the first and most important investigation. It helps doctors check for fractures, arthritis, joint gap reduction, bone alignment, or any visible bone damage.
An MRI is not required in every case. It is mainly suggested when the doctor suspects soft tissue injuries — like ligament tears, meniscus injury, cartilage damage, or problems that are not clearly visible on an X-ray.

So, instead of directly assuming you need an MRI, it’s better to get properly evaluated by an expert. The right diagnosis helps you avoid unnecessary tests and start the right treatment at the right time.

Don’t guess your pain — get it checked properly.
