A Proud Moment for Matoshree Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde Hospital

Yesterday, 5th March 2026, Hon’ble Health Minister of Maharashtra Shri Prakashrao Abitkar Sir visited Matoshree Gangubai Sambhaji Shinde Hospital and conducted a detailed inspection of the hospital facilities during his official round.

During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister appreciated the innovative “No Cash Counter Hospital” model, where eligible patients receive consultations, diagnostics, medicines and treatment without making any direct payment at the hospital counter, ensuring a truly transparent and patient-centric cashless healthcare system.

This model supports the effective implementation of government health schemes such as Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) and Ayushman Bharat, enabling patients to receive treatment without financial burden.

The Hon’ble Minister also emphasized that such “No Cash Counter Hospital” models should be expanded across Maharashtra, so that citizens across the state can benefit from accessible, affordable and cashless healthcare services.
