Performed on stage first time in Kochi, my birthplace.

First time with a backing track as well.

My sole contribution to the conference this year.

This was for Kochi. And Kochi alone.

Reaching intermediate level with this unforgiving instrument was a humbling road.

Botulinum toxin proved effective for both conditions this patient suffered from: Benign Essential a Blepharospasm and Apraxia of Eyelid Opening.

Note: the effect of the injection lasts 3-4 months and needs to be repeated.

At times additional oral medicines are given to enhance and prolong the results.

Not every patient has relief from Apraxia with Botox.

Dry eye treatment was done intensively for her and every patient with this condition.

A numbing cream is applied, following which injections are performed for maximal patient comfort. The injection is done on OPD basis, and patient can resume their routine right after.

In some eyelid surgery is needed if Botox is not effective.
(Quite rare). Yet after surgery also some Botox will still be required.

A ghastly trauma on the eyelid that turned it into a jigsaw puzzle with many lost pieces and layers: first seen in 2022 as in the photo on the phone.

Watching him today after a multi-staged surgery done between 2022-2025 whilst matching his schedules and my surgery timings; with a fully functioning eyelid with zero cicatricial layers, (a completely normal forced upward traction test) was beyond gratifying!

This is why we do what we do.

The patient here had painless redness and swelling in his right eye for three months.

Conventional treatment was given by multiple doctors, but he did not respond to those. Following which he was referred to OASES.

Detailed clinical examination made us suspect a parasitic infection, which was further confirmed with MRI orbits.

A course of oral anti-parasitic medication with oral steroids, solved the concern in few weeks.

The right diagnosis is always the most critical step.
