A Healthy Mind Is One of the Greatest Gifts We Can Give to the Next Generation.

Investing in the mental well-being of those who nurture and educate young children is essential to building healthier families and stronger communities. By equipping caregivers with the knowledge and skills to recognize emerging mental health challenges, we create a positive and lasting impact on the lives of future generations.

As part of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Programme, a training session on "Online Addiction and Stress Management" was successfully conducted for Anganwadi workers at the Manakollai Anganwadi Office, Tiruchirappalli.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Mrs. Vasanthi, Child Development Project Officer, Manachanallur, and Mrs. Lalitha, Child Development Project Officer, Thathaiyangarpet, with Mr. Murugaiya, Coordinator of All the Children, coordinating the programme.

The session was led by Mr. J. Karan Louis, Social Mental Health Counsellor at Athma Mental Health Hospital, who delivered an engaging and informative presentation on identifying the signs of online addiction, understanding its psychological impact, and implementing practical strategies for effective stress management and overall mental well-being.

Approximately 90 Anganwadi workers actively participated in the programme, demonstrating a strong commitment to enhancing their knowledge and strengthening their ability to support the emotional well-being of the children, families, and communities they serve.

Every right choice today creates a healthier tomorrow.

An anti-drug awareness programme titled "Start Run, Stop Drugs – Let's Build a Drug-Free Tamil Nadu" was conducted at the Co-operative Sugar Mill Dental Technology College, Thimmanahalli, Dharmapuri District, with the aim of encouraging students to make positive choices and understand the importance of living a healthy, addiction-free life.

The programme was presided over by Prof. Aariyapadai Vendran Nedunchezhiyan, in the presence of Dr Nalini. The session brought students together to reflect on the impact of substance abuse and the role every young individual can play in building a safer and healthier society.

The special address was delivered by Mr J. Karan Louis, a social mental health counsellor from Athma Mind Care Hospital, who spoke about the realities of drug addiction, the importance of making informed decisions and how courage, awareness and the right support can help young people stay on the path towards a brighter future. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr Suresh Kumar.

More than 110 students actively participated in the awareness programme, making it a meaningful initiative towards inspiring young minds to choose health, hope and a future free from addiction.
