Pre - Post Menopause stage:
📚The transition from pre-menopause to post-menopause triggers widespread changes across a woman’s body, from bone density loss to metabolic shifts. While walking is excellent for cardiovascular health, it only moves the body in one linear direction and lacks the resistance required to address the complex physical demands of menopause
📚To build a resilient body during this transition, a multi-faceted routine is essential
👍Strength Training: Estrogen decline accelerates muscle loss (sarcopenia) and weakens bones (osteoporosis). Lifting weights or using resistance bands builds lean muscle mass, boosts a sluggish metabolism, and stimulates bone growth in ways walking cannot
👍Pelvic Floor Exercises: Hormonal changes weaken the pelvic floor, leading to urinary incontinence or organ prolapse. Targeted exercises rebuild these internal support muscles, improving bladder control and core stability.
👍Yoga & Stretches: Dropping estrogen levels can cause joint stiffness and reduced flexibility. Deep stretching and yoga lubricate the joints, lengthen shortening muscles, and ease the physical tension
👍Balance Exercises: As muscle mass and joint stability decrease, the risk of falls increases. Single-leg stands or specific balance drills train the nervous system and stabilizer muscles to react quickly and keep you upright.
👍Breathing Exercises: The nervous system becomes highly reactive during menopause, leading to sleep disruption, anxiety, and hot flashes. Diaphragmatic breathing and mindfulness practices lower cortisol levels, quiet the nervous system, and can actually reduce the intensity of hot flashes.
📚A balanced routine protect the bones, mind and structural integrity of the body
