Dengue can be managed better when the warning signs are recognised early.
Dengue fever is a mosquito-borne viral infection that commonly increases during the monsoon season. Fever, body pain and a drop in platelet count can occur, while symptoms such as bleeding, dizziness or low blood pressure may indicate the need for prompt medical attention. Adequate hydration, rest and regular monitoring are important during recovery.
In this video, Dr. Apoorva explains the different phases of dengue, platelet monitoring, important warning signs and the role of hydration, healthy fluids, nutrition and rest in supporting recovery.
