🚨 Two-Day Disaster Management Training Workshop by NDRF 🚨

The NSS, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University (SGBAU) successfully organized a two-day Disaster Management Training Workshop conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team under the guidance of Dr. Nilesh Kadu, Coordinator, NSS, SGBAU.

The workshop focused on developing essential knowledge and practical skills related to disaster preparedness, emergency response, rescue operations, first aid, and safety measures.

From Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana, our NSS Program Officer, Prof. Rohit P. Salkute, and NSS volunteer Miss Janhavi Gadhe actively participated in the workshop and gained valuable hands-on training and insights from the NDRF experts. Dr. Shirish Jain (Principal) instructed them to convey all training details to remaining NSS volunteers and society members toaware them regarding disaster management.

The training provided an excellent opportunity to enhance disaster-response capabilities and strengthen the spirit of service, preparedness, and community safety among NSS volunteers.

There was a Workshop on “Workshop on Prototype/Process Design and MVP Development” by Mr. Nikhil Lohar on 31/08/2026 at 12:30 PM. One hundred forty eight students had attended the Workshop. The workshop aimed to help participants understand the importance of achieving product-market fit, identifying customer needs, and validating business ideas effectively. The objectives of the workshop were as follows: 1. To help participants grasp what product-market fit means, why it is critical, and how to measure it. 2. To familiarize learners with the building blocks of a business. 3. To design and develop a functional Minimum Viable Product (MVP). This workshop provided participants with practical exposure to innovation-driven product development and entrepreneurship, enabling them to apply conceptual knowledge to real-world product development scenarios. The session was highly engaging and enlightening for the students. At the end Dr. S. P. Jain, Principal, RSCP, Buldhana has appreciated the content which was shared by the speaker and motivated the students to get such important aspects in pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Shailesh M. Kewatkar was coordinator of the session. He has expressed a vote of thanks to the speaker as well as all the participants involved in the session.

Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldhana organized a Lean Start-up / Mentoring Activity under the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) to promote innovation, entrepreneurship, problem-solving, and start-up culture among pharmacy students.
A total of 45 B. Pharm. and M. Pharm. students participated actively and presented their innovative ideas, start-up concepts, and solutions related to pharmaceuticals, healthcare, pharmaceutical formulations, drug delivery, and allied areas.
Evaluation & Mentoring
Mr. Pramod Lande, General Manager, District Industry Centre, Buldhana, evaluated the students’ innovative ideas and interacted with the participants. He appreciated the students’ creativity, enthusiasm, and innovative efforts and motivated them to further develop their ideas into practical, commercially viable, and socially useful solutions.
His valuable guidance provided students with insights into innovation, entrepreneurship, feasibility, market potential, and start-up development, thereby encouraging them to pursue their ideas with greater confidence.
Outcome
The programme provided an effective platform for students to showcase their innovative pharmaceutical ideas and entrepreneurial potential. It enhanced their understanding of start-up ideation, problem-solving, product development, and idea pitching, while strengthening the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at the institute.
The programme was an enriching and motivating experience for the participating students and successfully encouraged them to explore innovative solutions and entrepreneurial opportunities in the pharmaceutical sector.

The “Innovation/Prototype Validation and Value Proposition Fit & Business Fit” program was proposed and initiated by the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) of Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy, Buldana, with the objective of developing an entrepreneurial mindset among students and helping them understand the process of transforming innovative ideas into viable business solutions. The program focused on prototype validation, understanding customer needs, identifying suitable value propositions, assessing market potential, and evaluating business feasibility.

The program was inaugurated by welcoming the guest and participants, followed by an introduction to the program by Mr. A. D. Pawar (Coordinator). Mr. Vikram S. Suryawanshi, Junior Computational Chemist at SilicoScientia Pvt. Ltd., Bengaluru, was the resource person for the program. He guided the students on the importance of prototype validation and explained how customer feedback, market requirements, value proposition, and business fit can help refine innovative ideas. He also discussed practical approaches for evaluating the feasibility, market potential, and commercialization opportunities of innovative products and solutions.
