RESIDENCY (THREE YEARS):
I had my training in E.N.T. & Head and Neck Surgery under the residency programme, conducted by Maharaja Sayajirao University Of Baroda. I completed post-graduation (MS) in July 2003. SENIOR REGISTRARSHIP (FOURTH YEAR):
This
optional fourth year training included academic and surgical training of junior residents, performing major operative procedures independently including head and neck surgeries and teaching undergraduates. FELLOWSHIP IN OTOLOGY (ONE YEAR):
I was one of the two candidates selected throughout the India for super-specialty training in otology and neuro-otology, which includes surgical training in micro-ear surgery, facial nerve and lateral skull base surgery under the leading otologists of India. ADVANCED TRAINING IN LATERAL SKULL BASE SURGERY (3 MONTHS):
I had an exclusive training in lateral skull base surgeries (like complicated facial nerve surgeries, transtemporal approaches to posterior cranial fossa tumors and microvascular decompression of lower cranial nerves) at one of the best centre in the world at Hospital Nord, Aix Mareille University, Marseille, France under Professor Jacques Magnan. I attended various modules of Transmedeast course of Endoscopic skull base surgery. CONSULTANT:
I was fortunate to work under renowned otologist, Dr. A Mahadevaiah at Basavanagudi ENT Care Centre, super specialty otology training and fellowship centre, as junior consultant for a period of six months, where I got to operate independently complicated and revision ear surgeries. I also have experience to work as consultant at Vijay Vallabh General Hospital, Baroda for one and half year before joining the fellowship and for similar period thereafter. At present, I am consultant Otologist at Baroda ENT Care Centre and Metro Hospital, Baroda. PRESENT APPOINTMENT:
Consultant ENT Surgeon at Bharti ENT Care Centre, Metro Hospital and Krishna Development and Rehabilitation Centre, Vadodara, Gujarat, India. I operate all the routine and complicated ear surgeries at Baroda ENT Care Centre and in association with other ENT surgeons in Baroda, Anand and Bharuch. I also operate along with various neurosurgeons for various lateral skull base tumors such as cerebellopontine tumors especially acoustic neuroma, jugular foramen tumors and clival tumors.
