If somebody is telling you, “Your AMH is low, so you will never get pregnant naturally,” you need to look somewhere else for advice.

Low AMH alone does not decide your chances of natural pregnancy. Fertility depends on multiple factors — especially your age, egg quality, ovulation, s***m factors, and overall reproductive health.

In fact, when AMH is low but age is young — for example around 25 years — the chances of natural conception can still be good.

AMH tells us about ovarian reserve. It does not directly tell us whether pregnancy is impossible.

PCOS is now being renamed as Polycystic Metabolic Endocrine Ovarian Syndrome — and honestly, the newer name explains the condition much better.

Because PCOS was never just about “cysts” in the ovaries.It’s a complex metabolic + endocrine condition that can affect hormones, ovulation, insulin resistance, skin, weight, fertility, and long-term health.

So yes — same condition, but a more clarifying name .

But here’s what has not changed:Diagnosis still requires proper evaluation.Treatment is still individualized.And lifestyle modification continues to remain one of the most important pillars of management.

A name change does not mean everyone suddenly needs weight-loss injections. Proper workup and personalized care still matter the most.
