Doctor, my AMH is low. Can I still get pregnant?"
This is one of the most common questions I hear in my practice.
AMH is an indicator of your ovarian reserveβit tells us about the number of eggs remaining, but it does not predict whether you can or cannot conceive naturally.
However, a very low AMH is a sign that time is valuable. Instead of delaying pregnancy plans, it is important to seek timely medical guidance. Some women with low AMH conceive naturally, while others may benefit from fertility treatments. The right approach depends on your age, fertility evaluation, and overall health.
The key message is simple: Don't panic because of a low AMH report, but don't postpone your fertility plans either.
If you've been diagnosed with low AMH, consult a fertility specialist early so you can understand your options and make informed decisions for your future.
