VPT Partial pulpotomy is a dental procedure often used to treat an exposed pulp in a tooth, particularly in young patients with developing teeth. It involves the removal of a portion of the pulp tissue while preserving the healthy part, aiming to maintain the vitality of the tooth.
indications
- **Traumatic Injury:** Often performed after a tooth injury leading to pulp exposure.
- **Deep Caries:** Used when there is a deep cavity that has approached or exposed the pulp.
- **Reversible Pulpitis:** Indicates that the pulp is inflamed but has the potential to heal.
Procedure Steps
1. **Diagnosis and Anesthesia:** tooth had mild pain from food accumulation and respond positive .the local anesthesia administered
2. **Isolation:** The tooth is isolated using a rubber dam and active clamp to maintain a dry environment.
3. **Access Opening:** An access cavity is created to reach the pulp chamber.
4. **Partial Removal:** The exposed or inflamed pulp tissue is gently removed, usually using sterilized instruments.(New bur)
5. **Disinfection:** The site is disinfected to prevent infection. Using a diluted NAO L with NS (cotton)
6. **Capping** A biocompatible material (MTA) is applied to cover the remaining pulp tissue, promoting healing and excess removed with moistened micro brush.
7. **Sealing:** The access cavity is then sealed with a restorative material, here i use GLASS LINEAR to seal mta then followed by composite restoration g-aenial fro GC
