Welcome, August 🌾

Today we celebrate Lammas, or Lughnasadh - the first harvest on the Wheel of the Year.

A day to pause.
To notice what has grown.
To give thanks before reaching for what comes next.

Harvest isn’t only found in fields.

Sometimes we harvest courage.
Healing.
Friendships.
A softer nervous system.
A dream that finally feels possible.
A heart that feels a little more open than it did a year ago.

As I prepared this altar, I found myself asking:
What am I harvesting this year?

Harvest is not only about gathering what has grown.
It is also about remembering the richness that has been here all along.

Abundance is not just measured by what we own.
It is also reflected in how deeply we remember who we truly are.

My altar rested upon a map of Iceland, in gratitude for the land I call home.

Today I returned these fruits and roses to the Earth as an offering - to Mother Earth, to the hidden folk, and in gratitude for another turning of the Wheel.

The harvest nourishes us.
Generosity keeps it flowing.

What are you harvesting in your life right now? I’d love to hear 🤍

When women gather with open hearts, something beautiful and powerful unfolds 🤍

Yesterday, on the Feast Day of Mary Magdalene, I had the joy of joining the Summer Celebration of Íslandsdætur (Daughters of Iceland), where we gathered to honour the Goddess F***g, the summer and the beauty of sisterhood.

At the heart of the ceremony was a beautiful altar for Mother Earth, lovingly prepared with summer flowers. One by one, we each placed our own candle and a crystal into the circle, bringing our light, our hearts and our wishes into a shared moment of connection.

It was an honour to introduce Mystic Nordica’s Ritual Kits and see them find their way into new hands. Having space to share our pearls of creation - rituals, herbal products, jewellery and handcrafted pieces - felt like such a beautiful expression of sisterhood. Watching women discover and celebrate one another’s creations made an already beautiful evening even more meaningful.

This is the kind of sisterhood I believe in.

When women create spaces where everyone is welcome to shine, something beautiful happens. There is room for every dream.

Thank you, Unnur, your wonderful mother, and Íslandsdætur for creating such a heartfelt evening.

And thank you to every woman I met. It was a gift to share this space with you 🤍✨

The circle may have closed...
but the ritual continues.

Every choice, every act of kindness, every candle we light, every dream we nurture becomes part of the ceremony we call life 🤍✨

Beauty doesn’t ask us to agree on what is beautiful.

It’s inviting each of us to notice what opens our own heart.

For one person, it’s fresh roses.
For another, it’s the scent of the ocean.
For someone else, it’s a favourite mug, a sleeping dog, or moss beneath their feet.

As the nervous system settles, we become more capable of opening our hearts. We become more available to give life our attention.

And when we do, life has a way of revealing its magic.
Not because the magic suddenly appears, but because we’re finally present enough to notice it - both within ourselves and in the world around us.

Beauty doesn’t change the world around us.
But it changes the way we meet it.

Beauty is nourishment ✨

For a long time, I thought I simply loved beautiful things; flowers, candles, nature, beautiful spaces. But over the years, I’ve realised it was never only about the beauty itself. It was about how beauty made me feel.

Beauty has never been a distraction for me. It has been nourishment.

When I bring fresh flowers into my home, light a candle, arrange a simple ritual, or pause to notice wildflowers dancing in the evening light, something inside me softens. My breath slows, my nervous system settles, and my heart becomes easier to hear.

Beauty invites presence. And in that presence, we become more available to the magic that has been there all along.

I believe flowers carry their own magic. So does nature. So do rituals, candles, crystals, and all the beautiful gifts the Earth offers us.

But beauty helps me slow down enough to receive that magic and to remember that I am part of it.

Somewhere along the way, I also realised that beauty isn’t only something we notice—it’s something we create.

A flower placed in a vase. A candle lit with intention. A table prepared with care. A quiet corner that feels like exhaling.

These are small ways of participating in the beauty we wish to see more of in the world.

✨ Friday Beauty 🩷

Every Friday, I’d love to share a gentle invitation to slow down and notice beauty. Not because life is always easy, but because beauty is one of the ways we remember that life is still here, waiting to be lived.

Together, let’s practice noticing beauty... and creating a little more of it wherever we are. 🌹

What is one beautiful thing you’ve noticed today?

Yesterday reminded me why slowing down matters so much.

Almost every meaningful moment happened because I left space.

I stopped for a tree covered in golden blossoms.
I stopped to drink from a natural spring.

I stopped to pick wild thyme.
I stopped to admire a child’s painted stones.

I made space to simply be with my brother.
I stopped at a wishing tree that would have been so easy to drive past.

And every time I left space, life had something to offer.
Not because I was searching for signs, but because I was present enough to notice.

The more I reflect on it, the more I believe this is what ritual offers us too. Not because ritual creates magic, but because it creates space.

Space to breathe.
Space to listen.
Space to notice.

I think life is much the same.

When we give life our attention, life has a way of revealing its magic.

Not because every flower, bird or coincidence has to mean something. And not because we should spend our lives searching for signs.

But because when we move through the world with presence, meaning has room to emerge naturally.

A beautiful conversation.
A moment in nature.
A feeling of peace.
A coincidence that makes us smile.
An unexpected sense of belonging.

Yesterday felt magical ✨

Not because it was extraordinary, but because I was present enough to receive it.

Perhaps that’s what everyday magic really is.

Not escaping ordinary life, but entering it so fully that we begin to notice how much it has been offering us all along.

Life isn’t meant to be rushed through. It’s meant to be felt ✨🤍
