Remembering Dr Peter Fisher
Today, we remember Dr Peter Fisher, past President of the Faculty of Homeopathy, who died tragically on 15 August 2018.
Peter was an extraordinary physician, researcher, educator and advocate for homeopathy whose influence reached far beyond the UK. He served as Physician to Her Majesty the late Queen Elizabeth II for 17 years, while dedicating more than three decades of his professional life to the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine, formerly the Royal London Homeopathic Hospital.
For 22 years, Peter was Director of Research at the Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine. He was also President of the Faculty of Homeopathy and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Homeopathy, helping to advance research and encourage rigorous discussion within the field.
His international contribution was equally significant. Peter chaired the World Health Organization’s working group on homeopathy and served on its Expert Advisory Panel on Traditional and Complementary Medicine. He was a passionate advocate for research, collaboration and the integration of different approaches to healthcare.
Peter’s untimely death was a profound loss to his family, friends, colleagues, patients and to the international homeopathic community.
Eight years on, we remember his remarkable contribution, his commitment to research and his lasting influence on homeopathy and integrated medicine.
We remember Peter with gratitude and affection.
